Were you sexually abused as a child?

It has been many, many years since my father's family have doubted my memories. They seem to wish I would shut up, but they do not doubt me.

My father was diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic.

The brother my father was closest to, my uncle, warned his two daughters, my cousins, as soon as my family moved back to the area most of the family lived in, to NEVER be alone in a room with my father.

The situation made them miserable but not doubting.

The only people who doubted that my father might have done what I said he did were people who had never met him.

And no one protected or tried to help my older brother and me at the time the abuse was going on.

My brother awakened his family with screaming nightmares, according to his daughters, my neices, years and years after my father's death.

My brother died at 47 of a massive heart attack. He never got the good care that I got as an adult.

I must acknowledge and thank the women's movement for the good therapy I got.

I miss my brother every day. I am weeping for my brother as I write this.
