When I talk about Boxing Day to my American and Canadian friends the general response is "What the f*** are you on about?", which leads me to conclude that they don't have it over there in any big way. The sample size is small though so may be misrepresentative.

    • I can understand the Americans, but why your Canadian friends? I thought Canadians did celebrate Boxing Day?

    • Maybe they do, but my two friends there didn't know about it... as I said, it is a pretty small sample so it may be misleading!

    • We do have "Boxing Day" in Canada. These days, it is very similar to "Black Friday" in the U.S. It is a time when you can expect malls to be flooded with traffic due to the sales.
