by Arisztid on May 24th, 2007
what the heck are sniggers?
by Yeahwell... on August 27th, 2007
sniggers are sort of a hissing laugh. The sort of thing you do behind someone's back.
by LarryH54 on June 1st, 2008
Oh! I've always called those "snickers".
by Yeahwell... on June 2nd, 2008
Nah. That's a candy bar. :)
by LarryH54 on June 2nd, 2008
Is Larry maybe British and Yeahwell...it'sallgood maybe North American? I, too, have always called them (and heard them call) "snickers," although I seem to recall hearing the word "sniggers," too, in a British accent. (I've also always called them "chocolate bars," which from what I've heard is not allowed in Britain because of strict rules regarding chocolate classification.)

Not British, but I did spend a year in Oz... :)
by LarryH54 on August 17th, 2008
Yes, I'm from North America.
by Yeahwell... on August 17th, 2008
Not British, eh? Just out of curiosity: where do you get "sniggers" and "candy bar" from?
by Teresa on August 17th, 2008
snickers is a candy bar and snicker/snickering is also the way I've always referred to laughing as described above. :0)
by Yeahwell... on August 18th, 2008
Not really sure, although many of my online friends are British, maybe I've just heard/read it a few times too many?
