Question

Help answer this question below.

Ad for "Bayer Advanced", Saying it was "Clinically Proven", Really it is Unproven, Would you Define a Lie as a "Knowing Dishonesty"?

I Strongly Suspect that the Only Thing that is "Advanced" is the Price.

    • I did not delete my response. I did not even know you could delete a response. I have my facts and story straight every time so there is never any need to retract or backpedal, and no need to investigate how to do so.

Anecdotally, I have seen entire questions disappear from AB. I cannot say without equivocation that anything similar has happened this time or not. To provide synopsis, I provided a link showing Bayer Advanced is a line of herbicides, I believe you are confused as to what commercial you were watching, or confused what product was being pitched, that intelligent people have better things to do than sit in front of the TV and get all tied up in a wedgie over commercials, and if people are somehow easily duped by ad claims then our union educrats are doing a piss-poor job of teaching critical thinking in any part of the 10 to 12 years that they have the time and attention of our young.

    • Great. At least now I can see the product is commercial pain reliever and not herbicide.

As for the company's claim it is "twice as fast as before", they are comparing their own old product to a supposedly redone version. I cannot confirm or deny that they used the scientific method, with control subjects and experimental subjects, if the control subjects took the old product or took a placebo, or if there may have been even three cohorts split among new product, old product, and/or placebo.

Therefore I cannot affirm the company's claims, but nor can I refute them, personally, without seeing the results of controlled trials. I do, knowing such limitations to my knowledge, refrain from accusing them of fraud as well as choosing to take their claims with a grain of salt.

What I personally recommend is learn to handle pain with character. All pain except the life-threatening kind should be treatable that way, without drug products or their various ad jingles.

    • I don't buy Bayer products so I am sold on nothing. I practice what I preach and do not take pain relievers, and never did except when near death.
