This is a very interesting question. If Jesus was here on earth, we would have more to worry about than punching someone. If Jesus told me to do it and I truly believed it to be him, I would do it without thought, however, I don't think there would ever be a time that Jesus would use violence as a resolve to any situation.

I don't know anyone by that name.
-
Jesus would never tell you to punch someone in the face!!!
-
At that point, I'd realize I'd made a mistake in identity.
-
Jesus has been dead for about 2,000 years, so that's physically impossible...

Sometimes Jesus ask people to do things that they find it completely difficult to do.The reason He does this is to test our faith and trust in Him.Remember when God told Abraham to Kill his only son.Can you imagine God telling you to murder someone soo dear to you.You would probably try to ignore Gods voice and go against his will because you would have the mentality that you don't wanna lose the one that you love. But Abraham was wise and although tears were in his eyes.He had no doubts because he trusted in God and he Lifted the sword and just as he was about to bring the sword down on his son God Stopped him.So i state that to say this:If God asked me to slap someone i most likely would because i Know that God is doing it for a purpose and if i put my trust in him he will Not let me down.

No,maybe santa or the easter bunny, but not Jesus.

If I had too many beers with him...LOL
-
nah my punch is cotten candy. might knee them in the groin tho'
-
I still wouldn't do it. I've got free will to choose not to.
-
Yeah, why not? I'm not a religious person, but if Jesus supposedly came back to Earth and wanted to talk to me, I'd be like, "Yeah, Ok."
-
Jesus wouldn't ask such a thing, therefore, it would have to be someone else asking and I don't follow him. Read the Bible and you'll see what I mean.
-
If the guy is my size then i might do it for the heck of it!

Yes, and there are many reasons. First, punching someone in the face has always been something people told me not to do; to have someone tell me it was OK to do would be great ... this brings it to a whole new level. An opportunity to do it in the name of Jesus is something that I'd be very excited about. Second, if Jesus is now calling on people to punch others in His name, then obviously some things have changed about Him, and to renounce Jesus in this manner would be just asking for a death punch from Him that would likely decapitate me, or at least explode my head but leave the base intact with my neck. Third, trying to tell people about it later would be difficult anyway ... but imagine if you ended it with "but I didn't do it." The story just sucks.

Do I look like a mindless robot of the Christian empire?
-
hell yeaa. =D its not like i have anything better to do with my time. =) hahaha
-
No as I would know that it is the devil and not Jesus as Jesus would never tell anybody to do any voilance at all.

My conversations with Jesus: "You want me to punch him in the face?" "Yes" "Me?" "Yes" "Punch him? In the face?" "Yes" "Is there a good reason for this?" "Yes" "Care to explain that to me?" "No" "Why? He's bigger than me." "You just have to believe." "Ok." [loud smack followed by a much louder smack followed by a loud thud.] "Jesus you idiot. He hit me back so hard I got knocked down and I think my nose is broken. What the hell was that for?" "You were an idiot all right. You were an idiot to listen to me instead of trusting your better judgment. Stop following me around like a damned fool and learn how to think for yourself."

He would never say that!
