It's not too bad here, but there is a house right behind us, perpendicular in fact, that has a rowdy set of boys. They bring over their high and drunk friends and fight, then the dad yells (almost abusively) at his kid. But I get back at them by playing bass way too loudly.

I live right on a highway in an industrial poverty stricken area. We have a residence/mechanic shop. Its sort of hard to explain. It is very loud but Ive been here for five years and I am use to it now. We are a block from a traffic light so semi trucks down shift right out front, thats really loud. Then you have all of the cars with loud exhaust and bass. The big air compressor and air tools. The guard dogs. People are constantly here and walking by for business. Its a rowdy neighborhood so you hear sirens often as well. We also have a pond infested with toads that sound like the spirit from the movie grudge! I grew up in a very opposite enviroment (quiet, uptight suburban area) so I tend to welcome the craziness.
-
The whistle from the train tracks that run about half a mile from my house. Some nights, I'd swear they were part of a systematic campaign organized by the big hearing aid conglomerates to deafen the populous.
