What kind of metals are not safe to smoke out of (I want to make a pipe for myself to smoke in)?

Since noone actually answered...I have used aluminum foil. It holds together and works suitable when shaped from the inside with a pencil for the smoke.

Bad idea to smoke period, I gave up (New years res') But if you must smoke, a pipe made from Briar that has the bowl lined with Meerschaum clay is the best pipe to smoke. Hopefully the cost of the pipe will put you off.

I would say do not smoke out of metal strictly for the taste factor. Glass and wood seem to be the best material for pipes in terms of heat distribution and taste. Try to find a tobacco shop or head shop and buy a few pipes to use. If you are not able to buy one due to your location or $$ then purchase rolling papers. It is not recommended to use anything but items designed for smoking. Theres always the standard tinfoil pipe. Just get some papers though and learn to roll.

really sorry if this is preaching however just thought i had to tell you this. my husband used to smoke heaps when he was a teenager he used tin foil cones too - anyway all his hair started falling out and he got big scabs on his head. Went to the doctor took ages to work out what was wrong until they tested his blood for metal levels - his aluminium level was dangerously high and thats what the doc said caused it. started smoking out of a brass cone and it went away. make of this what you will ... have fun! still using brass today twenty years later could have many lung diseases but not obvious yet!

I don't smoke, but I recommend you stay away from any kind of soft metals, I.E. Gold, Aluminum Foil, Tin, because at high heat levels they begin to breakdown and can release particles into your lungs.

aluminum, and copper are probably the most toxic metals to smoke out of. Aluminun releases AluminumOxide when heated & copper will release very dangerous amounts of itself into your bloodstream which can and has been fatal. Steel & Brass has a low toxicity level

I'd say avoid lead and anything mixed with cadmium.

fuck realy? i just smoked out of tin i think it was. it was a bowl made from a cap of a 32oz of miller high life .is that safe?
