  • "Bodies" by the Sex Pistols
  • David Gray- 'The Other Side'. I posted a video, because I think that song would sound great for a funeral, and I want you to hear it. A very calming song.
  • Don't care about the actual song, but I want a New Orleans Jazz Funeral and a Mediterranean wailing woman.
  • Breakfast by Newsboys.
  • There was a poll and as far as I can tell the worlds most popular song to be played at funerals is "Goodbye my Lover" by James Blunt. Second place was Katharine McPhee & Taylor Hicks with "I've Had The Time of My Life" I'm not planning to die any time soon so I would want something that would get people to second guess by untimely demise, just in case, something like "Alive" by Pearl Jam or "I Just Want to Live" by Good Charlotte.
  • The Time warp from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. And everyone should dress up like it too. I want people to look back, laugh and say 'thats the way we remember her, suspenders and all!'
  • Bridge Over Troubled Waters by Simon and Garfunkel. In the 60's, one of my crazy relatives had requested that and they did it. At the TIME, it was considered very, very out there to have a pop song.
  • I've already planned my funeral; it'll be the social event of the year, honestly! I'm planning to have a rehearsal, so that I can watch it, because hopefully on the real thing I'll be dead :) Just a few of the songs I plan to have are the theme tune from Countdown, and the song with the lyrics 'I'm an urban space man baby...'- to which everyone will get up and dance.
  • I want "Amazing Grace" played by an Irish folk quartet.
  • Angels by Robbie Williams. And then hectic rock music from the 70's, accompanied by much tequila and graffiti writing on my tombstone.
  • "Eleanor Rigby". It's fitting seeing as no one will be at my funeral except for my small family that I don't even like very much.
  • This has always been my all time favorite song, so this is what I want played. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzANxm3_2DQ
  • Christmas eve sarjevo- Transiberian Orchestra
  • "bye, bye, bye" by nsync I hate them but how funny would that be
  • amazing grace.for sure,
  • I would want Just Stop by Disturbed played at my funeral.
  • I defintely don't want a funeral, I try to spend my life being happy and I hope that I give others happiness. The last thing I want is a bunch of people I love moping around crying. I want them to laugh and dance (because I LOVE dancing). That being said, my death will hopefully bring about a festive dance party where I hope they play all my favorite tunes (which I know they all know because they've heard them so many times!) To kick off the whole affair, I'd like them to play "We're here for a good time, not a long time..." (not sure what any song is ever called) and as my last words of wisdom "I Hope you Dance"
  • Seven Bridges Road by the Eagles and Don't Let me Down by the Beatles. Songs for my best friend, my husband, to remember me.
  • " This is the life" By: Living Color
  • should I be cremated "Burn baby burn" should raise a smile but I would like "peace in the valley" sung by Elvis of course and "Always a woman" by Billy Joel
  • Do you realise - Flaming Lips... Great
  • I can only imagine I don't know who wrote it but always brings back memories of loved ones- and it totally sums up my life.
  • Any song that has the word "woman" in the title... perhaps.. Aretha Franklin's "Natural Woman".. Billy Joel's "She's always a woman to me". Don't think I would want a funeral as a funeral goes, just a memorial service with no body and people telling stories about what a nutcase I was.
  • Daniel Lanois - Sonho Dourado It played in Friday Night Lights when Permian lost. Real moving and inspiring instrumental song.
  • "Landslide", Stevie Nicks, and "Take It To the Limit", Eagles.
  • Somewhere over the Rainbow by Judy Garland, cause that is where I will finally been if I do die
  • Graceland by Paul simon, or Freebird by leonard skynard
  • Live untill I die. By the Ass Ponys. New Life. by X. Over At The Frankenstien Place. from the rocky horror picture show. and Planet Claire. by the B-52s. In that order, played by a local punk/garage band to be picked by me beforehand. I want to go out with a bang! A wild, camp, mid-eighties-style bang!
  • Daniel, by Elton John, and/or Don't stop me now by Queen.
  • "I am Sound" by The Dandy Warhols It helps show that I lived and learned and will be there with the people who loved me if they talk and sing to me.
  • A FUN SONG LIKE ICE ICE BABY (VANILLA ICE) I DONT WANT PEOPLE TO REMEMBER ME DEAD BUT WHEN I WAS A LIVE AND THAT SONG WILL REMIND THEM!
  • http://www.myspace.com/mymorningjacket Gideon or Dondante by My Morning Jacket. THIS PAGE HAS BEEN TROLLED BY A NEWB CAN SOMBODY HELP ME RATE EVERYONE BACK UP AGAIN PLEASE..... THANK YOU. • Feeling Good by Nina Simone becasue I love that song Or Higher and Higher by Jackie Wilson because it's a funky tune and you just can't help dance to it - I don't want people to be sad at my funeral - I would want them all to come in their pajamas.
  • Im thinking Free Bird would be pretty good. Or better yet Stairway to Heaven
  • hear you me by jimmy eat world..it's a really sad song....
  • maybe moby's, "the sky is broken" yeah, probably that one. or "wild horses" by the rolling stones. maybe "i want a little sugar in my bowl" by nina simone.
  • I would like them to play At your funeral-Saves the Day
  • I could say good old Frank's "I did it my way" but that is one of the most popular songs (at least here in the UK). I would want a secular funeral (no churches or grave yards for me!), so maybe for irony "Highway to Hell", or "Sympathy for the Devil". That would raise some eyebrows!
  • forget me not - lucie silvas - sooo many people would cry !!!!!!
  • "Spirit In The Sky" by Norman Greenbaum...Love that song!
  • I would want a music compilation handed out to everyone attending my funeral with the following tracks: 1) Flow by Transister 2) Simple Kind of Life by No Doubt 3) Reckless Girl by Absolute Begginerz 4) The Adventure by Angels and Airwaves 5) I'm with you by Avril Lavigne 6) Juicy by Notorious B.I.G. 7) The Scientist by Coldplay 8) Freedom '90 by George Michael 9) Just a thought by Gnarls Barkley 10)I'm only sleeping by The Vines 11)Canned Heat by Jamiroquai 12)Popular by Nada Surf 13)Ordinary Life by Kristen Barry 14)What I got by Sublime 15)Finlandia by Sibelius 16)Funeral March by Ludwig Van Beethoven 17)Kayleigh's Funeral by Michael Suby
  • Vaughn William's Fantasia. Except if I wanted a live performance there would have to be two string orchestras . . .
  • 'Another one bites the dust' by Queen.
  • I would like "It Is Well With My Soul" played and to have everyone sing.
  • When It's Cold I'd Like To Die - by Moby
  • This one for sure!
  • Thriller -Michael Jackson And everyone would have to dress the theme
  • I think this is the one. Skip the half a minute intro.
  • Despite what people might say that its bad Man in the mirror by micheal jackson. Or maybe a Prince song
  • EVERYBODY WANG CHUNG TONIGHT
  • Queen- Don't stop me now
  • The End by The Beatles. Great ending to one of the best albums ever, Abbey Road
  • Nobody's Child by Maria McGee and Here Comes the Sun by George Harrison and Daydream Believer by the Monkees
  • Umm probably "Soon and very soon we are going to see the king." Either that or Battle hymmn of the republic. Maybe followed by some chanting of "Jesus remember me"
  • "Who wants to Live Forever"? by Queen
  • "I Bowed On My Knees And Cried Holy"
  • Theme music from the movie "JAWS". I hope I'm still fresh enough to wiggle my box a little to freak 'em out.
  • Live Like You Were Dyin by Tim McGraw
  • One that won't be written for another 100 years.
  • I did it my way or amazing grace .
  • I think I would go with something nice and mellow, maybe classical? A string quartet perhaps. But everything considered, I think it would be best to have a music-less wedding. Its kinds a somber occasion
  • http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/97658 Already asked. I don't plan on having a funeral so it's a moot point.
  • Easter hymns.
  • I am conventional, but think everyone would enjoy: "HERE COMES THE SUN." an old Beatles tune, sentimental, symbolic and uplifting too! "Who Wants to Live Forever" by Queen would also be nice.
  • Metallica's version of; "Turn the page"
  • My question before any of the others. It does not show up in searches though. Another strange thing... http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/91626
  • may angels lead you in, jimmy eat world
  • John Lennon, Dreamer
  • I don't know the name of the song. I wish I did. I heard it at a black man's funeral in the deep South years ago. During the song, the whole congregation started marching in their seats. No one stood up, they all just started stomping their feet to the music in the rhythm of a really slow march & somehow the way everyone joined in, it just ripped your heart right out of your chest. Does anybody have any guess of what the song is??? I've been wanting to know for YEARS! It was probably a Baptist church.
  • Its probably been played to death (pun intended) but I would like this song by Queen: I think its a fitting end for a highlander. Words and music by Brian May Theres no time for us Theres no place for us What is this thing that builds our dreams yet slips away From us Who wants to live forever Who wants to live forever....? Theres no chance for us Its all decided for us This world has only one sweet moment set aside for us Who wants to live forever Who wants to live forever? Who dares to love forever? When love must die But touch my tears with your lips Touch my world with your fingertips And we can have forever And we can love forever Forever is our today Who wants to live forever Who wants to live forever? Forever is our today Who waits forever anyway?

Unstoppable These feelings of loss So unstoppable Egging through to the marrow of bones Just let it go Pain willing in your eyes Just let me go Dry the tears that fall And remember When everything is typical I’ll be the wish upon a star I’ve found a place so magical Goodbye.... See you another goodbye I..See you another goodbye See you another goodbye See you another... Peeling killers rise Precious circle is mended Sense vertigo in you So I’ll be your halo So unstoppable My love for you So unstoppable Memories of you Just remember When everything is typical I’ll be the wish upon a star I’ve found a place so magical But still please... Someone, Help Me, Grab Me, Save Me Now, Distrust, Darkened, Daylight, I’ve lost sight Someone, Help Me, Grab Me, Save Me Now, Distrust, Darkened, Daylight, I’ve lost sight Remember That nothing here is typical I’ll be the wish upon a star I’ve lost something so magical And gone so far Just remember When everything seems difficult I’ll be shining from a far When it feels like things have gone away I’ll see you again I’ll see you again, Goodbye I’ll see you again, Goodbye I’ll see you again, Goodbye I’ll see you again, Goodbye I’ll see you again, Goodbye....

  • Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd- the beginning part. Simply because I love the message- "If I leave here tomorrow, would you still remember me? For I must be travelling on now, there's just too many places I've got to see. But if I stayed here with you, girl, things just couldn't be the same. 'Cause I'm as free as a bird now and this bird you cannot change"
