The process is generally called "backmasking". There have been a few artists who have placed backmasking on their tracks, and it is pretty obvious when they have done so. Most of the cases you hear about are erroneously reported by religious extremists who hear what they want to hear. It's a well-established psychological principle that our senses are shaped by our expectations. Have you ever heard a song lyric which you assumed was a particular word, but then when you learned the real word all of a sudden you heard the new word whenever you listened to the song? Same principle.
