  • my paternal grandmother (84) does have a computer and internet. If she knew about AB it wouldn't surprise me if she was an ABer. My maternal grandparents wouldn't even know how to turn a computer on and they are so stubborn they don't want to learn either.
  • I know for a fact that my grandmother do not have a computer. She doesn't even know the difference between PC and Apple. I would probably die if she was a bagger. I haven't always been 'grandma friendly' here.
  • If any of them were still alive, I'm sure my maternal grandmother would have one. She was a smart cookie..a school teacher and principal.
  • My grandparents don't own a computer; but, if they did and they were on AB, I would be surprised.
  • Three of my grandparents died before 1966. The other died 12 years ago and she could barely read, only had a 3rd grade education. I would have been very shocked if she could have figured a computer out back in the early 1990's.
  • Considering that my grandparents have all been dead for quite a while now, YES I'd be completely freaked out. My dear ol' Mum doesn't even own a computer and is sadly scared to death of the Internet. And my Pop has been dead since 1986.
  • No, because all of them are no longer with us. So yes, I would be shocked if I found out they were also ABers. That would be creepy.
  • No.Yes.
  • My grandparents are long since dead, but my dad just got a PC & he's 77. I was amazed but very proud that he's trying to to get w/ the program. LOL. I would be socked if he were a Bagger cuz he can barely get the hang of email. =]
  • My grandmother used a computer for a few years. I spent hours with her trying to show just how to use her e-mail! Boy, did I regret that when I got a million "spam" messages from her! LOL! My grandfather was not interested at all...he'd rather hang with the boys and play golf or ping pong. After Gramma got sick, she gave the computer to me and now my daughter uses it to play her Disney Dress-Up game. So, since they no longer own one, yes, I'd be pretty surprised if they were on AB. Though even if they still had it, I don't think my grandparents would know that sites such as this exist! If it doesn't have something to do with their grandchildren or other family, they weren't too interested. Great question, Babycakes! :)
  • Indeed I would be surprised, since they're dead.
  • No, my Grandmother can barely operate the TV remote much less a computer.
  • No they don't own one. But they did finally get a cell phone for emergencies last year.
  • my grandad on my mother's side has a computer, but it would be very very unlikely that he was here too. He barely speak english, and even though he has a computer, he uses it most for writing and doesn't really understand how the internet works
  • My dad's parents have a computer and both are internet-literate, although my grandmother more so. I wouldn't be too shocked, although I'd imagine she probably has better things to do with her time.
  • No, none of my grandparents ever worked on a computer. Now my step fathers mom does and I can see her on AB. But none of my real grandparents.
  • No they don't. Would be great if they do :D
  • I would be very shocked because they've been dead since before the internet...but I'd applaud them for trying...lol
  • Yes, many. And my Grandfather is a very intelligent, witty, but incredibly sarcastic man. He'd fit right in here.
  • I only have a Grandmother and i know she does not own a computer.
  • Well, I'm a granparent, I don't know if my granddughter is shocked or not, I'l ask, when I see her again:)
  • My grandparents are deceased, but if they were here i dont think they would be an ABer. When i taught my grandmother computer basics she couldn't stop playing the fake gambling games XD
  • MY grandparents would not know how to turn one on. They have to have my aunt program their TV. They don't even own a VCR because it's too modern technology.. go figure.
  • My 91 year old grandmother did until she died last year. It was used mostly for email, and collecting pictures from family and friends. I really don't think she surfed the 'net, much. And, since she's gone, yes, I would be shocked to find she HAS an account on AB. My 74 year old dad does, too, and he got into computers late. For years, he built the computers for his entire office (10-20 people). He still builds his own, every other year or so. Even so, I would be shocked (but not completely surprised) to find that he had an account here. (He DOES have six grandchildren!) ;-)
  • Bought dad a computer. At 81 he's a surfin' maniac yo... Mostly old movie and music stuff, then he takes both his cousins, both guys in their 80's, to look at 'porn'. At least that's what they call it. They don't like the raunchy (hard core) stuff. they call topless shots of the starlets from yesteryear 'porn'. My son (his grandson) thinks dad's nuts...:)
  • My grandparents are all deceased. I do not think any of them would ever have even gotten on a computer.
  • They've all "kicked it" I don't believe any of them owned computers before they did.
  • yes, they are all dead.
  • I am a grandfather with five grandchildren at the moment. I own a computer and I am also an AB'er. Are you surprised and shocked?
  • My grandfather (of my dad) has a PC, but he doesn't have internet anymore.
  • One of my grandmas has a computer, and I very much do not think she has an AB account!
  • All of my grandparents would be over 108. One of my grandfathers would be 129. They all died before home computers came on the market. However, my 80 year old mother is an avid computer internet user and keeps up with her grandchildren online regularly. However, I would be shocked to find her on AB.
  • Yes, my grandma does. But she doesn't have internet, she just plays solitaire on it all day!
  • They have a computer and use to have internet. But they were not AB'ers.
  • Hey Mommy ! My grandparents died when I was a kid ! I am sure we have ABers from heaven too :)
  • Two of my grandparents are just now getting into the whole cell phone thing. Even if they did have computers, I doubt they would get online much, and I really doubt that my Dads mom would get on AB... She doesn't like other peoples opinions. :/
  • I'd be shocked, unless they have computers in the afterlife
  • My grandmother eschews computers, cell phones and everything digital. I figure it's her right to do so, though she is missing out. My father won't touch a computer or a cell phone either. One of my coworkers who's around my father's age also won't use them. My mother who is in her 60s does use computers and just got her first Vista machine after using Win 9x for over a decade.
  • My 89 year old grandmother has a computer - she got it about 10 years ago (well, got her first computer about 10 years ago... shes on her third now). SHe just uses it for email really, and some very basic surfing. I dont know what an "AB'er" is, so I cant comment on that.
  • My grandparents are long gone, but I am a grandmother of 8 and an ABer. Shocked the grandkids when they found out I have a MySpace account...and I let them know when they post something potentially dangerous.
  • My Grandparents have passed on , and I never saw one with either set of grandparents - Yes I would have been totally shocked back then -- Hi Babycakes -- + up
  • I would be shocked as they passed away many years ago but I would be pleased to see them! Just stopping by to say I wish you and your family a happy and healthy day! !!
  • they dont but my granddad would make a great aber
  • I am a grandparent, and have been 'in' computers for nearly twenty years. I use computers every day, for my own enjoyment and to help others, I also build them, refurbish them and give them to folks who need one, and fix them when people have a hardware or software problem. I seldom go more than a few days without some sort of job coming in. As I do not charge anymore, I do not advertise, but the folks in our church keep me busy. My husband, who is in his seventies, was working with computers when they had valves inside. I think there are a lot more 'mature' computer geeks out there than is the common perception. The reason I say that is because I play a sub-sim game (SH3 GWX) and am often on the subsim forum. There is a wealth of computer knowledge on there, and many of these folk are potential, if not actually, grandparent status. W
  • My grandparents on my Dad's side each have their own computers, and are proficient with e-mail. But, I would be shocked if they were ABers. They don't usually do stuff like this.
  • No they would be shocked if they read some of my strings. ROFL
  • They are dead so yes I would be shocked if someone was on thier computer and using their AB accounts like I am
  • My living grandparents do not have a computer. But my grandpa before he died last year did and it would not have shoked my if he AB'ed.
  • No unless they have one in heaven but yes they would be shocked that I'm wasting my time here, instead of out there.
