  • -Get more sleep -Bags are sometimes caused by water retention, if you're retaining water your problem may only be temporary and will clear on its own. -Sleep on your back. Apparently this keeps water from pooling up under your eyes overnight. -Use an anti-puffiness cream or serum, there are plenty out there. Dab it very gently under your eyes and pick a formula that can be worn alone or under makeup. I find that those containing chamomille work well. I have sensitive and oily skin and it works well for me when I need to use it. Overnight I use Neutrogena Active Copper cream, works well and I found that I rarely wake up with bags anymore. -Stay clear of things that irritate allergies or the eyes in general (i.e., cigarette smoke) -Bags that are hereditary or are the result of fat deposits building up will likely require surgery to permanently remove them. A couple of "home remedy" type things I found too: Raw potato slices will help tighten baggy, puffy eyes. All you need is a potato and a knife or slicer! To Make: 1. Slice 1/4 potato to fit over your eyes. 2. Cut 2 slices or, if you prefer, 5 to 10 very thin slices, several for each eye. Either method works. To Use: 1. Spritz eye area with water. 2. Lying down, place the potato slices on your eyelids and leave in place for at least 10 minutes for best results. Also, you can place a couple of spoons (metal) in your freezer overnight. While lying down, rest the cold spoons on your eyes for 10-20 minutes. According to the site I found this on, the condition should improve after 14 consecutive days of use. My personal opinion is that overnight in the fridge is a better choice or a cold compress of some sort. I don't know if anyone out there has ever had the experience of pulling something frozen off of skin-but it HURTS and can tear skin off. There are countless ways to decrease or diminish eye baggage. These are just a few suggestions. Hope they help.

  • I was born with bags under my eyes, so really anything I do doesn't get rid of the completely, but it reduces them. Sometimes if I don't get enought sleep, I get bigger bags under my eyes and if I get too much sleep they're also bigger. The right amount of sleep for hereditary makes them less "baggy". Also all the answers above make them less baggy also. They still bother me a ton so I will probably end up getting surgery to fix them since they are hereditary. =[

  • The most important is to know the reason of this condition. Then you can effectively remove the cause. I think it has something to do with water balance in the system. But I do not know exactly if it is caused by: 1) too much water retained in the system? If yes, then reducing sodium intake should help. 2) lack of water in the system? If yes, then drinking more water should help. 3) too much water intake? If yes then drinking less water should help.

  • Dear ladies, this is a common problem which many of us face some time in our lives: Check out your diat, kidneys, liver and stress factors. Get enough sleep, drink a lot of water (at least 8 glasses a day) and have a happy love life. There are some very effective "galvanic energy" devices on the market which "irons" out those fine wrinkles around the eyes, nose and mouth areas. Some eye serums and gels help out as well. House hold tips like cold spoons and potato slices also help linder bags and rings under the eyes. If nothing else works ladies then find yourself a good plastic surgeon (certified please) to give you some good advice. After all, we all wish to feel and look good out there! Good Luck

  • Hi, I used to get bags under my eyes all the time mostly due to my inability to fall asleep easily. I would stay up late thinking about something then wake up early next morning only to see little bags under my eyes. I somehow managed to kick the habit of staying up late but my eye bags wouldn't go away.I then recently read an article about a woman who supposedly got rid of her eye bags using a particular eye care product. I tried it and it worked really well. I managed to get rid of my eye bags in 3 to 4 weeks. You can read more about the lady's article at the link below http://eyebagscure.com/

  • Under-eye bags are a natural effect of aging, but common causes for eye bags are over sleeping or sleep deprived, fluid retention, alcohol and tabacco/cigarettes, crying and aging. Fillers are a great under eye treatment to combat hollowness and loss of fat under the eyes. Depending on the eye structure, fillers can almost instantly reduce the appearance of under eye bags.
