• They are held every four years. The Winter Olympics are held two years after the Summer Ones, but still 4 years apart.
  • The Summer games are held 4 years apart from each other and so are the Winter games. The Summer games are held 2 years apart from the Winter games. Up until and including 1992 the Summer and Winter games were usually held in the same year.* In 1994 the Winter games were held at Lillehammer, Norway. *During WW1 and WW2 there were some years when some of the games were cancelled.   • By 'apart' do you mean time or space? And do you mean each set of games or each individual game? I think some of them overlap.
