  • No, U proved that! same Final Amp for phono or tuner, unless U are using a "Cartridge Pre Amp" for the Phono??? Most likely dirty contacts in Selector Switch for tuner to phono. Spray it down with good plastic safe tuner cleaner & work it back & forth vigorously. John
  • Try switching the cables that are used for the aux and use them for the phono input, this will tell you if the phono is a bad channel or the cables you are using are bad and need replacing. If the amp output is good on other inputs then it shouldn't be the amp. Hope this helps.
  • I agree that the first thing to do is re-attach all wire connections which are a very common source of problems in this regard.
