  • hey i think jesus is 80% a myth and 20% real
    • ReiSan
      100% myth, 0% real!
  • Yep. :)
    • ReiSan
      IIE!
  • Real enuff to change my life
  • No, he was just a personification of the sun
  • Sure, why not. We can't disprove it so might as well go with the flow. Wouldn't we all want him to be real anyway?
  • As far as we can tell based on information passed on from generation to generation he was real; now whether or not he was as we've come to know him (not physically, but philosophically), no one will ever know for real.
  • Why dont you ask God? If you read a book called 'The Bible' - you will have the answer and answers to many more of lifes questions!
    • ReiSan
Thomas Jefferson said that reading the Bible critically proves God does not exist. Reading the Bible has made many intelligent people atheists.
  • Yes He was. Very real.
  • The question should be :IS Jesus for real, since He rose and lives for ever more.
  • Yes, He is real.
  • I think so very loving and special, but sometimes i doubt the bible bout giving " all the answers for everything" cuase he didn't make it.
  • Definately. He was a wonderful prophet but not the son of God. God doesn't have any children.
  • You betcha
  • i think so, but i think what he was might be told differently as time has gone by. http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/2219519
  • Oh yes, I know he is I have a relationship with him and have learned to trust him and believe what he he says. Its a relationship and I would not change it for anything.
  • Historically, maybe. It's many of his followers who are not for real.
  • More real than what your eyes think they see.
  • If you could figure that out from asking people online then you should win the nobel prize.
  • He was real, just had some BIG delusions about himself and his so called all knowing "Father".
  • well, no Jesus wasnt for real. He was outside real. He was totally different than real. He did stuff no real person could ever do. A real person would die and be dead. A real person would have to be satisfied with cheap wine. A real person would sink if they tried walking on water. A real person could not feed five thousand people with just a few fish and a few loaves of bread. No Jesus wasnt for real.
  • I think its debatable if he even existed, because most of the known documentation of his existence was written 100 years after his Crucifixion and always referred to as "christ" which simply means "the anointed one" but is he the messiah? no... this vid should help.
  • If i am as real as he was then we would start counting backwards... I doubt it though... i am pretty sure he was "real" because we have been here forever and he either invented a better time system or he could explain why this place is so amazing beyond the necessity of explanation... whatever he did... he did it big!... for me to be slightly if not very impressed this many years later means something!
  • yessss
  • Depends on what you mean by "for real." And what you mean by "Jesus"!
  • Yes. He was really God and really human. Christians believe that Jesus was completely God and completely Man. The incarnation, God and man, is one of the wonderful Christian paradoxes. The Church thus confesses that Jesus is inseparably true God and true man. He is truly the Son of God who, without ceasing to be God and Lord, became a man and our brother. The Son of God worked with human hands; he thought with a human mind. He acted with a human will, and with a human heart he loved. Born of the Virgin Mary, he has truly been made one of us, like to us in all things except sin. The Catechism of the Catholic Church explains what we believe in depth: http://www.nccbuscc.org/catechism/text/pt1sect2chpt2art3.shtml#p1 With love in Christ.
  • as a man, a human being, but nothing more than u or I.
  • Depends on what the person is looking for or not looking for- He claimed to be the Savior- for people who wants to have one. He claimed to be the King for those who are looking for one. He claimed to be the Son of God for those who are willing to let him be. He was reported to be able to heal for those who wanted healing. He was reported to be able to raise the dead who those who witnessed it. He was reported to be able to do miracles in the present as well as in the past for those who are looking for Him at the present time. He claimed to be real and that's up to the person who wants to know him as one or not. Personally If there is no Jesus- I would be very sad.. for me everything he claimed to be is much needed indeed..for me..but it may not be the same for everyone.
  • As a historical person? Probably - but not definitely. As the guy in the Bible with magical powers and only 1 human parent? Nope. +6
  • Yes, he was for real. It would have been unwise of him to be against it.
  • Jesus is real he died to save the world from our sins
  • I don't think so, but the church that came a few hundred years later is something to be reckoned with!
  • Yes according to HQ 3:45 “Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! God giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be the Christ Jesus, son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to God; He shall speak to the people from his cradle and in his maturity. And he shall be (of the company) of the righteous.”
  • Yes and He still is.
  • Yes, as real as Santa Claus, James Bond, Harry Potter and the Boogie Monster.
    • Jenny_Rizzo
Haven't we all seen Santa Claus at the malls during the Xmas season? I'll give you a thumbs up for your amusing answer.
  • Jesus is real not was real.
  • Incredibly yes. and still is...
  • As real as your name,Jack.
  • Jesus is the Light of the World. (John 8:12) So you tell me if you have seen the light of day.
  • *At the temple on Monday, Nisan 10, Jesus is speaking about his approaching death. Concerned about how God’s reputation will be affected, Jesus says: “Father, glorify your name.” A mighty voice from the heavens responds: “I have glorified it and will glorify it again.”—John 12:27, 28. The people nearby are bewildered. Some think that they heard thunder. Others say: “An angel has spoken to him.” (John 12:29) However, it is Jehovah whom they just heard speaking! And this is not the first time that humans have heard God’s voice in connection with Jesus. Three and a half years earlier, at Jesus’ baptism, John the Baptist heard God say of Jesus: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.” Later, after the Passover of 32 C.E., Jesus was transfigured before James, John, and Peter. Those three men heard God declare: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved. Listen to him.” (Matthew 3:17; 17:5) But now, this third time, Jehovah is speaking in a way that many can hear! Jesus says: “This voice has occurred, not for my sake, but for your sakes.” (John 12:30) It is proof that he truly is God’s Son, the foretold Messiah. **Jesus Christ is “the way.” That is, he is the only one through whom it is possible for us to approach God. This is true in the matter of prayer, for only by praying through Jesus do we have the assurance that the Father will give us whatever we may request in harmony with His will. (John 15:16) However, Jesus is “the way” also in a further sense. Sin has alienated mankind from God. (Isa. 59:2) Jesus gave “his soul a ransom in exchange for many.” (Matt. 20:28) As a result, the Bible explains: “The blood of Jesus . . . cleanses us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7) The Son has thus opened up the way of reconciliation with God. (Rom. 5:8-10) It is by putting faith in Jesus and obeying him that we can have an approved relationship with God.—John 3:36. Jesus is “the truth” not only because he always spoke and lived the truth but also because all the prophecies written about the Messiah—scores of them—were fulfilled in him. “No matter how many the promises of God are,” wrote the apostle Paul, “they have become Yes by means of him.” (2 Cor. 1:20) Even “a shadow of the good things to come” contained in the Mosaic Law became a reality in Christ Jesus. (Heb. 10:1; Col. 2:17) Jesus is the focal point on which all prophecies concentrate, and they shed light on his central role in the outworking of Jehovah’s purpose. (Rev. 19:10) To benefit from the fulfillment of what God has purposed for us, we need to follow the Messiah. Jesus is “the life” because he has bought the human race with his lifeblood, and everlasting life is a gift that God gives “by Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom. 6:23) Jesus is “the life” also to those who have died. (John 5:28, 29) Moreover, think of what he will do as High Priest during his Millennial Reign. Why, he will obtain everlasting deliverance from sin and death for his earthly subjects!—Heb. 9:11, 12, 28. Jesus’ answer to Thomas, then, has great meaning for us. Jesus is the way and the truth and the life. He is the one God sent forth into the world for the world to be saved through him. (John 3:17) And no one comes to the Father except through him. The Bible clearly states: “There is no salvation in anyone else, for there is not another name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved.” (Acts 4:12) Whatever our background may be, therefore, it is the course of wisdom for us to believe in Jesus, follow him, and thus be led to life.—John 20:31.
  • Today some claim that Jesus is just an idea, rather than a real historical figure, but there is a good deal of written evidence for his existence ..
    • ReiSan
There is no evidence that satisfies scientists.
  • He is just as real as other sons of gods in all other religions, e.g. Heracles, Thor, etc., and they are all fictional characters. Jesus Ortega and Jesus Gonzales are real, but Jesus Christ does not exist.
