  • Maybe, its the same thing that makes some people cough and have a headache, when they eat ice cream. Seriously, it may the venting system of your car a/c system. i had this problem and decided to experiment on my own. my question to myself was this.....if your home a/c venting system needs to be cleaned of mold and bacteria, should this also apply to my cars a/c venting system? Went to the store and bought a can of lysol spray. on one end vent, i sprayed until i could see the mist exit the other end of the vent, in the cars dash. i let it settle for 10 minutes, then i started the engine, turned on the a/c system and have not coughed, since. it seems to work for me and maybe it will do the same for you. try it. a can of lysol spray is a cheap price to pay, in order to stop coughing and losy headaches, inside your automobile.
  • A/c doesn't just cool air, it dries it as well. It is the dryness of the air that likely causes these problems. This is why modern, high tech a/c systems have built in humidifiers.
