  • It's still bad. You only think you don't inhale the smoke, but there is smoke in your mouth and in the room, so of course it's bad. I mean, the effects of second hand smoke have been proven and those people don't even touch cigarettes!
  • You know Bill?
  • Instead of lung cancer, your room mate will get mouth cancer. Both are bad. In addition, I don't think one can become addicted to the nicotine without inhaling, so it should be no problem for your room mate to quit.
  • It's not nearly as bad, but mouth cancer is still a distinct possibility. If he's going to do that he should take up cigars, less poisons in the smoke, an inhaling isn't done nearly as much.
  • it's just not possible to bring smoke into your mouth yourself without inhaling some. Sure you aren't deep breathing it in there but you must draw air in through the cigarette. The only way to get smoke in and not breathe is to have someone else blow smoke through your partially closed lips and you are quick enough to trap it in there. But what good does that do? If you still feel like smoking, that means you are feeling the effects and that takes inhaling it in. Sorry, it's not possible
  • If you don't inhale then there is no point in smoking.
  • You can get cancer of the mouth and gums and why bother anyway?
