  • A lot of people would like to think that you can but no, if you mean by religion the major faiths, then one can't.
  • Of course it is possible. There are no laws governing how many religions you can practice. Is there a law against being both Christian and Muslim? Of course not. The religion(s) a person chooses to practice is his/her choice, and it does not matter what or how many religions he/she practices

(Matthew 7:22, 23) Many will say to me in that day: ?Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?? 23 And then I will declare to them: ?I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!? NOT possible.
  • Not sure hone would "believe" in a religion. Perhaps because I am a Christian and we believe in a person - Jesus. You can learn from different religions and certainly practice some of the features them. But in terms of belief its a matter of what you believe in and you would believe in one or the other. Of course many are different sects of the same basic religion. I've known people who try and collect religions for themselves but really they did not believe in any of them - just themselves.
  • There is only ONE " creating " God and he has only ONE set of standards...Multiple religions with multiple teachings do not fit this scenario...
  • 12-16-2016 The bible is clear that religion is made up by men telling each other what to do. It is quite possible to have more than one religion per person. It is rare to find two members of the same church who agree on what their religion is about.
  • What laws govern a " stop" sign...? Only one...STOP. Jehovah God is like this...He has only ONE set of rules...and most religions do not obey them... Even those that claim Christianity... (Acts 5:42) And every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus. WHO does house to house? With the message of the Kingdom.? (Luke 4:43) But he said to them:
  • I just realized I have already responded to this. That is the only comment I have on this subject.
  • Yes, it is possible to believe in more than one religion. In fact Baha'i believe that all religions are saying the same things. That they came in a time and place where people could best understand them. They are the only religion (faith) that I know of that embraces other religions rather than try to condemn them. They have a place for the 9 leading religions in their temples. The temples are nine sided buildings each side to represent one of the worlds leading religions. They are trying to bring them and the world together in peace.
  • It depends on what your motive is. We have free will and can choose to believe anything we want, but if your motive is to find truth based on the Bible then that is a different story. Many religions that claim to worship God and believe in the Bible really show by their actions that they are not adhering to what the Bible says. There was only one true religion in the Bible - Christianity. Today there are thousands of different religions and forms of "Christianity" but are they all correct? It is a question that deserves our thought.
  • One plus one equals two...a solitary but true answer....There is only ONE creating God and ONE truth...not multiple truths... So there are NOT multiple ways to please God...who, by the way, has a name... (Psalm 83:18) May people know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.
  • A person might believe in more than one religion but it would be difficult to practice both at the same time. That one reason why Jesus told his disciples at Matthew 6:24:
  • Of course its not possible! So many religions differ from one another. The Bible tells us to seek out the true religion. You can do that be comparing the Bibles teachings with those of the religions. For example: does the religion teach the trinity? No where in the Bible is the trinity mentioned. What is God's name? The Bible tells us at Ps. 83 v 18. Do the religions adherents go to war? The Bible teaches that we should love our neighbour and not to kill. What about homosexuality? Such a big thing these days. Yet the Bible warns about it. Romans ch. 1 v 26 - 31. Yes, God is love and he accepts anyone who wants to abide by his laws, which are not burdensome. It is the disgusting act of immorality that God hates.

  • The is only ONE creating God...with his own single set of rules... as such, there is only ONE path to his approval... Scripture states Jehovah is a jealous God... (Exodus 34:14) You must not bow down to another god, for Jehovah is known for requiring exclusive devotion. Yes, he is a God who requires exclusive devotion.
  • Nope. All religions have different ways to reach to a certain deity. Christians believe Jesus is the only way. (John 14:6) Other religions yield to their gods. By doing so, it is not possible to accept another religious book, and then get rebuked by the Bible. :)
