  • I don't think so...
  • Not really sweetie! Don't let adults scare you with that crap, they're all lies. Heaven and hell are right here on Earth, and it's up to you (for the most part) to choose which one you want to live in.
  • Sometimes I think Hell is right here on earth.
  • NO. My best friend was killed by a drunk driver in 1982. I can't imagine a worse hell than what her mom has been living in for almost 26 years
  • Yes, I believe hell is an actual place. Actually, was made for Satan and his demons origianlly, but when Adam and Eve sinned, it became a place of punishment for us also. But God gave us a way to miss that punishment, through Jesus Christ. My two cents worth.
  • Hell is what appears on Earth when we fail to behave in a godly way... http://www.newdimensions.us/content.cfm?page_content=blogs_include.cfm
  • That would be conjecture on my part, since, until I die I cannot possibly know for sure. What I do know for sure is that on this earth there are those who make others live in "hell", or die because of their crazy, distorted, evil view of things..the ones who believe they know the answers, they are on the side of "god/allah," whomever and the more they kill, maim, destroy, vilify, the better they like it. They are the devils here and they create hell here. :(
  • Yes, there is an actual place called hell. The other names for it are hades and sheol. They are all just words for the common grave.
  • Yes, it is in Michigan: http://www.hell2u.com/
  • Hell is a place within us where our presence is above the presence of God. All mankind entered into hell from the beginning. Gen 2:17, But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. The fire is not a literal fire, but it is still burning to this day and it all started because of a lie. Good news "the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand"
  • Hell is an actual place. It is a place where God is not, and where there is no light, no warmth and no companionship. Whether there is literal fire there I do not know; this could be a metaphor for suffering. In some places it is described as a place of moaning and gnashing of teeth, both of which are symbols of regret...regret for having missed the opportunity to be in the presence of God forever.
  • The genral rendering of Hell in my opinion is pretty primitive and born of simplisitic human behavioral and emotionaly based concepts when looking into the idea of fear and its globaly significant components and the psychologicaal facors it pertains to. If you will. I don't believe that such a Hell exists, and I can whip up much more frigthening and disturbing versions of Hell in my head then what the Bible suggests.
  • yes and yes
  • No i dont believe in hell.
  • It exists and has its own zip code. 48169 http://www.hell2u.com/
  • No. I don't. Well. I don't think I do.
  • God does not judge us, much less condemn us to be burned "alive" for eternity for our mistakes. It's not even a place where God is not, since there is no such place.
  • Why I don't believe in Hell: I believe that God is a reasonable Being- I can't imagine Him killing millions of people He Himself created, burning for eternity, just because they failed to believe in Jesus. If you believe He will do that, you make Him worse than Hitler. I believe any kind of racism or discrimination is wrong. Simply hating others for who they are, or what they believe or do not believe is wrong and is NOT reasonable.
  • I am very troubled by anyone who thinks that hell is real. Hell was created by man as a way of getting people to give huge sums of money to the church. Hunger for money and power is the inspiration for the concept of hell. God is in every person and he would not send himself to hell.
  • Remember that the people being shown these things had to find a way to put them into words that their peers could understand. Many things probably just couldn't be described. Imagine you are living in the first century and are shown a vision of the future that included helicopters, airplanes, cars, oil wells, suburban homes, televisions, etc. What words would you use to describe them? Supposedly, the description of hell in the Bible matches that of the Jerusalem garbage dump, which burned perpetually. If God showed you a vision of the torment that was complete separation from love, how would you describe it? I think the writer did the best he could with what he was shown. The reality of hell is probably worse. My vision of hell usually includes "Ground control to Major Tom!" I can't imagine a hell any worse than drifting in space, separated from everyone and everything you love and know and running out of air.
  • I believe that heaven, and hell is all in our minds, much like a dream, since death has been compared to sleep in many ways. If you go to sleep, in a undesirable state of mind, your likely to have a nightmare. Likewise, I belive if your life ends with guilt in your heart, your after life may end up a nightmare, aka, hell.
  • Hell does exist - we have been told so. There are several examples of saints who have been taken there to witness the torments. They were directed and protected by an Angel of the Lord else they might have died in the course of the witness. However they have written this up in their reports. I name one of these saints as St Faustina Kowalsca d 1938. She was instructed by the Lord to institute devotions to The Divine Mercy. The Sunday when this is honoured is first Sunday after Easter - previously know as Low Sunday. The experiences described by St Faustina were truly awe inspiring and terrifying. Remember this that Satan and his demons have a limited time to roam around on this earth for the ruin of souls as come the end of the world and civilisation as we know it he will be thrust down to hell and not let out. He is more than desperate to convince anybody he can on this earth that both he and hell do not exist! Hell contains perpetual spiritual fire. Pray to God that you find yourself in Purgatory and not hell when you die. As although purgatory has several different levels and grades of cleansing fire - at least you will know that there will be an end to the punishing cleansing which will end in Heaven. The alternative is unthinkable. Start praying now that you choose the Lord, God Almighty over all evil and you will be protected from the fires of Hell. Pray freuently and without cessation for all your deceased relatives and friends that they too might be saved. This is important because they cannot help themselves once they have left this earth. They rely on us. Further, and this may be difficult for most people - pray for your enemies whether alive or dead. In this way if you should prevent the loss of just one soul you will surely have saved your own for eternity. Hope this helps. In summary, buy your ticket now and start praying - choose good over evil evrytime and always promote peace where you can. God bless you.
  • Yes, and here are pictures of it: http://www.what-the-hell-is-hell.com http://www.what-the-hell-is-hell.com/HellPhotos/
  • if there is a hell then i think it is not one of fire but a place where one is forever alone with no scenery or and stimulus other than your own mind. best way to think about it would be a drak room where there is nothing other than you and no way out and its so dark you can not even see your fingure if they are just infrount of your eyes. if there is a hell that would be my guess as to what it is like
  • In the text of the Bible, hell, will at some point be thrown into the pit of fire. That is a time designated in Revelations. I dont think it has come yet, due to chronological indicators in the same book. So, I dont believe hell is on fire now. Next point. Eternity has no end. Therefore, you can not extend eternity. So "forever AND ever" (being extended by "and ever") is not eternity. It cannot be. So, hell is not eternal. Only God and His are eternal. "heaven and earth shall pass away."
  • Yes. It is where your soul is forever seperated from God, which is agony like beyond comprehension, hence all of the references to burning.
  • No, I definitely do not believe in Hell is a place where people burn for eternity. I believe Hell to be absence from our Lord. The reason I believe this is because God loves us more than we could ever possibly love anyone here on earth.....now, would you send your child to burning hell because they have done something wrong no matter what it was??? I know that I could not possibly love my children the way God loves me, and I could not do that to my child no matter what.....I worship a Loving, tender God....I feel as though I have a close relationship to God. I believe that God wants us to Love eachother unconditionally...not to judge and connect to eachother in a loving way....I believe that LOVE is the key........I have loved God all my life....I pray all the time.....I do not believe in Organized Religion....I believe that your Church should be in your heart and that it goes everywhere that you do. Faye
  • yes and yes,and also in paradise :)
  • I'm to be cremated, so the fire should be out in less than one day. So, i guess that the crematorium will be my one day in hell.
  • Listen up fartbags, there's no such thing as hell, never was , never will be. it's just a place thought up to control you. So basically when you die,you just go in the ground and rot and turn to dust. It wont bother you at all because your brain will be shut off. End of story! ( sorry about callin y'all fartbags, but I was pumped up).
  • I have always strongly felt that hell is more of a state of eternal separation from good than a physical place. The concept of fire and brimstone is an allegory, a way of explaining the concept to people who are currently occupying physical bodies. Spirits do not occupy physical space.
  • Hell, along with haven and god are human inventions designed to control and manipulate people for the purpose of extracting money out of them
  • Dante described it as freezing cold in his "The Inferno". This in mideval, heavily-'Catholicized' Europe! (Folks have *always* had 'doubts', no?) - No, I don't believe it physically exists in the universe somewhere (or a parallel universe somewhere else?!). It's allegorical and meant to help instill sociopolitical compliance/obedience in the 'masses' without question or protest to authority. Overall, it worked really well before the industrial revolution. Remember "The Red (Church) and the Black (military)" ran everything for eons! And it *still* 'works' to a lesser extent (though 'hobbled' by the media) on the superstitious or intellectually thoughtless/careless (religious?!) "believers". - ;-)
  • I would really like to go to hell, actually if satan escorts me I would be flattered
  • The ludicrous description [of Hell] fits only Sun (and other stars) and it sustains life on earth. Destroys the Hellenic myth! Also eternal damnation ['burning for ever and ever'] gives 'forever afterlife' to the inhabitants of the warm & bright hell, --and jolly good company, too! Remember, 'no body, no pain'! Hell's concept is in vain!
  • Not the hell with the devil in red and with horns etc. The Lake of Fire is real enough and people will go into it, but not forever. Scripture does not teach of endless punishment in the original languages. When the Lord chastises and punishes, it is remedial,to turn the people back to himself. Our God is a refining fire. He tells us to love our enemies, and He IS love, will He not also love His enemies? What is the best way of dealing with your enemies - destroy them? No, turn them into your friends. Jesus is the Saviour of the whole world, not just a few chosen. And yes, I believe in universal salvation.
  • Hell exists wherever people in their ignorance think, speak, and act in ways that obliterate God's love.
  • Yes and yes.
  • No my IQ is higher than room temperature.
  • No, it's a place in your mind.
  • I would say that guilt is a worm that feeds on the mind of the one who feels guilty. so Hell would be feeling guilty, you judge yourself. there is no God, only control and the ones who desire it.
  • NO.......it does not say anywhere in the bible that we will burn in hell; it says we will be consumed by flame........not burning forever and ever.....people get what they THINK the bible says confused with the famous poem by Dante......get some info from the 'tomororwsworld.com' site and see what the bible really says!!!!!!!!!
  • yes and yes, and i always will. whatever is in the bible, king James version, i believe and hell is in the bible.
  • hell and heaven is on earth. no where else
  • yes and yes :P It's all justice though. He is God. But HE sent Jesus to save us, if we would just believe...
  • Scripture says that there is a place of eternal punishment for the lost. Most call it hell but the more accurate description would be Lake Of Fire. Revelation 20:11-15 "Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." The Lake of Fire where the unbelievers will go is the same Lake of Fire that Satan will be thrown. Revelation 20:10 "And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever." Yes hell (Lake Of Fire) is an actual place and yes, there is eternal fire there. Scripture is clear on this but some will try to make a metaphor out of it.
  • Hell no! It's an imaginary place created to make people think they will be punished for things they can get away with in life. I saw the latest answer used the Book of Revelation to describe Hell. The great Thomas Jefferson was smart enough to leave that book out when he made his own Bible. He called it the ramblings of a "mad man."
  • No, (This question calls the bluff of the ludicrous god-heaven-hell concept. Fire can't harm a soul without body, after death. Sinner & non-believer automatically achieve eternal afterlife 'burning forever and forever' in the warm glow of the hellfire; while the faithful live in self-denial, striving for heaven, which could very well be a frigid, boring place. ;-)
  • yes I do believe hell is very real and the punishment is 4 ever. all I can say is what the bible says about it and it says that they who reject Christ will be in torment 4 ever. Psalm 9:17 Matthew 5:22 Matthew 23:33 Luke 12:5 Luke 16:23
