No. My grandma was an old (VERY old) Irish woman, whose meals consisted of meat, potatoes, and green vegetables, sometimes carrots, and toast with marmalade. I loved her. ^_^

yes, but none with marshmallows in them. Usually lime green jello with crushed pineapple chunks. My grandma adds a secret ingredient that makes it creamy.

my mom and me do it all the time! it's technically called watergate salad (with pistachio jello, manarin oranges, and other fruit with cool whip and marshmallows) we call it "green stuff". Yummy!!

No, in my family we had gelatin and it wasn't for sweet things it was for dinner with meats and veggies. But then again, I'm from Europe in the old days before Jello. Kind of like these:

my grandmother still makes us that! we had some last night..one time she tried to put carrots in the lime jello but we all complained about it so much she didnt make it again. she likes sliced grapes, mandarin oranges, apples, etc.
