No, I have not accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. I do not believe in God and I do not believe that Jesus was anything more than a prophet and leader who preached a message that was loving and compassionate. I do not want or need to be saved by anyone or anything. I am responsible for my own actions and inactions and redemption for those actions is not something anyone can simply give me.

I have done that - YES. But I am not accustomed to using a foreign word to express my solidarity... I'ts quite pretentious I think, kind of setting apart, not all christians use that expression as freely as others... I think Amen means a little more than just yes...

No, I never did. I beleive that there is a god, or that there is at least a need for a beleif in a god, but I just can't except this theory of Jesus dying for me. I'm not worth killing a fly over. Oh, and please, no one mark this negative like always happens when I'm honest on reglion questions. I'm not dissing anyone's religion or beleifs. It's just my opinion.

I do not need a lord or a savior. I have done little wrong in my life and that which I have done wrong, I have made right with the people I wronged. I do not need fear of punishment or hopes of reward after death to live a good, happy and moral life.

No, because... I believe that Jesus was a "mystic" (one who realized his oneness with God) who showed us the way to God. As the saying goes, he broke through the brick wall, and we set up an alter at the hole in the wall. I don't believe in the judgmental, rules-based God of the Old Testament, or that God would ever judge or condemn us, or that we're inherently sinful, or that Jesus needed to be crucified to somehow even the score on our separation from God ("sinfulness"). I see evidence for my beliefs in my personal spiritual life, in my church, in Jesus' teachings, and in the teachings of spiritual masters throughout history.

Jesus Christ is a manifestation of human society. We have created religions so we can do two things: 1. Control the masses and 2. Make ourselves feel comfortable with the prospect of death. Is this sufficient? I have accepted that the only HONEST thing for me to do is be a Christian. It is the one religion that I can genuinely say I can agree with MOST of its tenets etc. Do I 'know' that it is 'true'? No - I have questons, doubts, difficulties and problems with how it is at times. But I do 'know' that it helps guide me to being like the people who are in my church with me - and they are very kind, loving, generous and decent people in how they LIVE and BEHAVE and ACT. 'by their fruits ye shall know them' is what I believe in when it comes to 'choosing' what I believe. However - there are some things I will not do that are insisted upon in our creed. I cannot believe that God made 'disposable people' - AKA 'non-christians' - for example. So - you tell me - should I say 'Amen' or not?

Nope. Because A) I am uncertain God(s) exist... and B) If the Judeo-Christian version of God exists, I do not accept that such a God would torture billions of souls for all Eternity. I haven't accepted Jesus Christ as my lord and savior, for several reasons: 1. I don't feel the need to be "saved" because I feel fine as I am. I feel that if I love a good life and be the best person that I can, no harm will come to me in the afterlife (if said afterlife exists). 2. I don't feel that there is sufficient evidence for me to believe in God (nor is there sufficient evidence for me to believe that there ISN'T a God), which rather negates the "Accepting Christ" part of the Christian belief. Been doing a bit of soul searching lately. I used to go to church when I was younger. I have been baptized, and have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Been quite a while. Do I still get to say Amen?

No. I haven't because Yahweh is categorically the most diabolical, evil entity I've ever heard described, and I don't believe Jesus was any more than an extremely compassionate man. I am catholic. The concept of being saved as you understand it is implied in my baptism. Therefore I do not need to be saved as that term is currently being used. My conduct and Christ's grace together are my salvation. Simply declaring myself saved is therefore is a wasted act as it is unneccesary for me to do so.

No, I have not and never will. I hesitate to even say that Jesus existed..let alone god. I simply don't believe in an all powerful, all knowing being. Also, there are many pieces of the Christian doctrine I don't particularly care for. Also I believe some (if not most) Christians don't live entirely the way their own doctrine says they should. If I'm gonna be involved in any sort of religion I would want to follow it to the word. As it is, I'm an atheist/agnostic. I enjoy the idea of there being a god..I just don't believe that there is one and if there were, I certainly wouldn't want it to be the Christian god. However, I do respect the beliefs of others and would never try to push them to believe something else.

Believe it or not there are over a thousand religions, what makes your's so much better? You have no proof of this jesus even ever really existed. No other proof of any of the things in that black book being true either. I need a little more than fairy tails to make me believe.

On February 13th, 2005 I gave my life to Christ and haven't looked back...haven't needed to. I am thankful for the old-fashioned preacher that preaches the true and unchanging power of God. I have read the comments, I know that some came to this question not to comment on their Salvation but to slander the precious name of Jesus and to them I say "Shame on ya...you had best invest in a fire suit" Jesus died for all, but straight is the gate and narrow is the way and many will, on that last day, cry out to God for mercy but he will simply say "Depart from me...I never knew you" I say proud and loud...Thank you Jesus for dying for this old sinner! -Buddy

Firstly, because Jesus was a figurehead , created by the roman empire, ever wonder why a middle eastern religion, ended up having its spiritual capital in ROME??? No, I have not. I first of all find it very difficult to believe in a god who considers me an abomination for being gay (and he or she created me like this). And I studied science for 6 years in university and it tended to reinforce my personal beliefs about the universe and life. I just do not accept organized religion as anything more than big business. I feel Rabbi Yeshua was an incredible man and helped so many people find their way back to our Creator. He was provocative toward the overly pious higher ups (as was St. Francis) and lifted the poor. As for the Lord and Savior, I mean no offense, but I feel so much of how he came to be that title was through political maneuvering by people other than Yeshua.

If God wants to save me, he will. It is not my place to tell him that he must save me. I realize there are a lot of people who don't believe that's the way to salvation, but that's the kind of salvation I believe in. After all, how is it salvation if the choice of being saved is up to you? That makes no sense to me. If you can convince me otherwise, I'll agree with you. Chances of that happening are slim to nil.

I'm glad that you found a faith that works for you. I personally was raised catholic, excommunicated because I questioned too much, was an agnostic for awhile, and came to my own personal conclusion that there is no god. I am now an atheist. But I can honestly say that as long as you are not forcing your view on others, and you are not using religion in a negative way, I am happy for you.

No, I don't believe jesus ever existed. There was an Egyptian god named Horus who had the virgin birth and claimed he was the son of god. His life is just like the life of jesus in the New Testament, and his teachings are the same, too. The bible is a combination of ancient religions put together into one. I do believe in god, but not in Jesus. You can go on google and search, "Jesus is Horus" or order a copy of the movie, "The god that was never there."
