nah haha i do that too and im 16
-
I don't write notes because I'll lose them. :P I either schedule in my calendar at work in Outlook, or I schedule it in my phone so I get a reminder buzz me when it is due.
-
Even young people write notes to help one remember things to do.
-
I write notes all the time...and usually remember to look at them. LOL
-
I do it to leave space in my brain for the really importance stuff!
-
I write reminders all the time and then I forget where I put them; go figure! Thank goodness for Outlook.
-
Yes, I write notes. The problem is I can never find the bits of paper I've written them on.
-
Writing them is the easy part..finding them when I need them is the tough part.
-
yes i do it all the time. sometimes my memory is like a sieve especially if im worried about something. i have notes everywhere lol.
-
you are not old i write notes all the time i have a bunch of post-its all over the house it helps me to remember things.
-
Nahh you arent old..I have little sticky notes all over the house..lol
-
I write notes and write notes that I wrote notes and remind me self that I wrote a note. Then I tie one of those strings on my finger.
-
I do the same thing. My phone has a easy way to record voice notes which I use often.
-
I solved the "can't find the note" problem by writing notes on my hand. Sometimes I run out of room tho, so I have to write on my arm. People look at me funny, but I don't forget to pick up toilet paper or milk nearly as often as I used to!
-
My old ADD self needs those notes. Like the others here, I forget where I put them so I bought myself a nice, big dry erase board:)
-
I've had to do that all my life otherwise I get sidetracked. I must have gotten the 'absent-minded professor' gene, with out the professor bit. ;)
-
Yes, sometimes. Otherwise I might forget.
-
I would think you're like the rest of us unless you have to hang yellow stickies on the windshield to remind you how to drive.
-
I write stuff down all the time but not notes, because I end up misplacing them. I couldn't live without my organizer.
-
I write a list in the morning of everything I need or want to do that day ( have done this for years )From dishes to clean the litter box...then I cross them out through the day as I do things. Always feel like I have accomplished so much IF the list gets finished. Sometimes I don't think we realize just how much we do everyday. That is why I like my lists so much. Strange maybe but works for me.
-
Your not alone Old age is near
-
HA! You think YOU'RE old? I write notes and then forget them! :D Then I have to actually think!
-
i write a lot of things down. i have several "to do" lists. however, there is no "make a list" on any list! just thought i'd clarify.
-
I'm 20 and if I dont have what I need to do written down, I'll forget all about it. I have sticky notes, and about 3 organizers/agendas I use constantly, plus I have my cell phone agenda/note program. No, I dont think it has anything to do with being old.
-
I'm only 20, and every day at work I have to write something down, and I have to keep my homework written down, or else I forget.
-
I've been doing it for as long as I can remember. My mind is very fleeting. I'm only a teenager and I know that if I don't write something down, it's gone. Therefore, I believe I own more Post-its than any other being alive, and the back of my left hand is always sparkling clean because I'm always scrubbing notes off of it. And the feeling of ripping a Post-it off of the wall after you finished doing something...oh, priceless.
-
Thats the only way for me , it's not just you at all
-
I do that a lot!! of course then I can't find the right notes!
-
I have so much going on, if I don't write myself notes, I would never remember half the stuff I need to do. I've tried it and believe me, note writing is much better! And it's not an age thing - I've been doing this since I was way younger.
-
I'm 21, and I write notes everywhere. ...but I always lose my notes.
-
Ahhhh! my TBD list --To Be Done...
-
I have a little notebook that goes everywhere with me. I write lists in it, one per page. (to do list, shopping list etc) Its nothing to do with age, its just for stuff like that, I've got a memory like a sieve with a hole cut in it.
-
Notes. Why carry post-its on your mind when "pencil and paper" are around? Besides, writing things down helps to free you from the current of random thinking.
-
I have to write everything down or have someone remind me! If my sister needs something, she always calls me back when it's time for me to do it. Anytime my daughter asks me to do something, she always writes it down!
-
I write myself notes all the time, to do lists, etc. I've always had a spotty memory.
-
My computer desk looks like where post-it notes go to die. LOL!
-
I'm 25 and i have learning difficulties which means i don't have much memory retention i write shopping lists and never stick to them
-
i write myself loads of little notes. i have a very good memory, but i still do it. no matter how good the memory, people are not computers.
-
You are not old. It is good to make notes of things to do or to but. Before I go to the store I allways make a list of things I need to get at the store so I dont get distracted and forget why I went to the store in the first place because If I write it down even if I lose my list it helps me to rember just by writeing it down and then I get every thing I went there for. I also write a lot of things on my calender and in my book.
-
i wouldn't be able to survive w/out my post-it notes!! LOL!
-
If you saw how many post-it notes I have all over my desk at work, you'd be amazed.
-
I'm 25-yr-old receptionist/admin. assistant in training. I've learned that without notes, people wouldn't get paid!
-
I write post it notes to remember I wrote post it notes. And even have virtual post it notes on my computer.
-
Dude I'm only 26 & I hafta do that or I'd 4get everything.
-
I am the spokesperson for taking notes. So much so , that I take notes when I don't need to. I take notes out of books that I read. ... :) you're not OLD. you're smart. :)
-
Yes, I have to have notes. My husband has learned the hard way that if it ain't put on the grocery list, it doesn't come home with me from the market!
-
yea I write post-it notes for everything and then just stick them somewhere that I will see them. I also make a lot of lists of stuff that I need to remember.. I would forget everything if I didn't write it down.
-
ROFLMAO...looking around my desk here...I write myself LOTS of notes...AND I jot important things on the calender as well. Of course, I will be 50 next March..so maybe I'm heading towards o l d.
-
I have a list that I check before going out the front door in the morning. You're not old, it's only a memory aid, like a diary...:)
-
Yes ! I do
-
no, I write my self note, my binder is full of scribbled little notes and such
-
You're old unless the notes are work related.
-
your old!!! and I write notes to myself all the time...even sometimes taping them to the inside of the door so I remember when I go out..:)
-
I'm 18 and I need notes or I'll forget anything : P You don't need to be old to need notes : D
-
lol, one of the things thats is taught in most law enforcement and military academies, write it down. that way, you are not relying on memory when the time comes, you have it on paper. documentation is key they say....
-
No it's not an age thing, don't worry. Most of my friends' kids keep a record of things they need to do in their 'to do' section in their mobile phones so young people need reminding also. I have lots of post-its in my bag ...but sometimes need a note to remind me to look in my bag! Me2write
-
You're old!...but I write notes all the time..I just can't always remember where I put them:)
-
Lol. i write notes all the time because i forget stuff easily :)
-
I've always been a "make list" person, even when I was much younger. I have found as I've gotten older I rely on those lists a lot more than I used to..old age? Well, yes..the alternative is death, so I'll take old age any day of the week! :)
-
yes, i do, but i never read them
-
I make lots of lists, does that count?
-
Age has nothing to do with it! You're an organized person who feels gratification crossing items off your mental or written list! You'r good!
-
All the time and I'm 17! :)
-
You can easily write notes by clicking on a day and put reminders to it on a calendar that fills your entire screen. It is easy and quite right for old people. Go to http://www.google.com and search for "COMPUDIARY FREE DOWNLOAD" to list the links that will allow you to download such a software
-
i do it too, and i am only 23.
-
I write lists for *everything*. I'd forget all of it if I didn't write it down.
-
i write notes on my hand so that not only will i not forget what to do, but it's right in my face so i wont forget to check
-
Sometimes....but I alway lose the note...or forget to read it in time!
-
Notes cannot be a sign of age or else I must be about 1462 years old.
-
I do.
-
not only do I write notes, I label all my storage containers, and I keep lists online.
-
I put notes on the door so I don't forget appointments, I send myself email reminders and phone message reminders. At work, if an appointment isn't in my Calendar, it's not going to happen. It may be an age thing, or just too much going on.
-
I used to do that all the time, but then i needed something to remind me to look at them;)
-
i wont,i remember things........but,rarely i do...
-
If you're old then I am too! If I don't write myself a note or a list 90% of the time things do not get bought, done, read, or cleaned.
-
I write notes/lists, I send myself emails, and before I had a computer, I left myself voicemails. I'm almost 45 now, but I've done that for years. It's not always related to age!
-
Yes, I mostly do that and I put them in my phone so the alarm will go off and remind me.
-
I'm 28 and always write notes to myself. I even send notes to myself through text messaging.
-
I have before and I'm 19. It doesn't hurt to make sure you can remember things. Just gotta remember what you wrote on.
-
No your not too old I make notes to help myself stay organized and mantain daily things
-
I do! :)
-
i write notes to myself all the time but i have a really short attention span so if i wrote them on paper and put them somewhere even in my pocket i would forget about them so i write them on my hand with a pen. sometimes i still forget though!
-
I don't write notes, I write on me : )
-
i've had to write stuff down since i was 12 or i would for get it all.....
-
You're not old- I have to carry around a separate backpack to carry the agenda i have to keep or i'll forget to eat!
-
you're not alone.. i write notes on my hand :)
-
when i list things to do, i even put tick boxes right next each item to see which ones ive done...and i'm 22.
-
Yep! I write a bunch of notes. Half the time I write a one word phrase like "Refrigerator" and I forget exactly what I wanted to do. Or I'll have the same word written twice and it's supposed to mean two different things.
-
Used to be handwritten notes only. Now I've got "to do lists" on my computer too! Have also started writing "seasonal reminders" in my calendar right along with the birthdays, appointments and such. Liked the way you asked your question though. Nope .. not "just old". Just trying to get stuff done and keep track of the fifty billion things we all seem to have on our plates sometimes. lol Shoot, even if it's just one thing we don't want to forget? Sometimes the very ritual of "writing it down" is like a personal promise to "do it". Thanks for the question. :)
-
i have notes i wrote then i hand wrote a story that i hope to one day publish i have entered many poems and won contests to..any thoughts,,, angel_124
-
I write notes or else I do forget to do things. But I'm old too :)
-
HA! I actually have began to forget a lot of things since I turned 40! I bought a dry eraser board with a magic marker and hang it on my fridge. I put down anything I do not want to forget. It works, because I see it everyday. I was a bit worried today, because I received an email from answerbag and had no clue I had even registered or asked a question! That is so annoying, but it is old age naturally.
-
I tend to forget to write the notes...
-
i'm turning 55 & the amount of notes is increasing; but how old are you answered the old man?
-
I write notes all the time! I write notes at work, at home and in graduate school. It has nothing to do with age. I love writing notes!
-
No, I'm old. If I don't write things down, nothing gets done around here.
-
My golden rule: no one is old until they reach 75 years. anyways, i keep a day planner and i write in it every day
-
Actually, I carry a pocket digital recorder with me where ever I go so if I get an idea while out and about I have it handy in case I get a story idea, or an idea for the next chapter, etc.
-
Oh - btw - hubby sometimes will put post-it's on the back of my laptop as I'm writing, so he doesn't disturb me while I'm "out there" or "in the zone" as he calls it...when I write, I tend to block out all other sensory input and I'm literally in my own little world. The notes will say, "Went out to get milk..." or "going to work, love you! XOXO" or "Going to bed, good night - don't stay up too late." My kids are starting to do so as well...LOL!
-
Your question made me laugh, I write myself notes all the time otherwise nothing would get done. My roomate says she writes herself notes though and forgets where they are so who knows!
