Three in all. The first, Olympic sailed from 1911 to 1935, and was scrapped in Jarrow and Inverkeithing. The Titanic sank in April 1912 with the loss of 1,517 or 1,490 people (the British and US figures differ). The Britanic sank after hitting a mine in the Mediterranean in November 1916, with the loss of 30 lives.
