Why are people so cruel to animals? dont you just hate those people!

For the same reason that stronger people pick on weaker people; it's easy to pick on the helpless, whether it's to soothe themselves over their own sense of inadequacy, for the pleasure of hurting others, or just out of a sense of entitlement (I can, so I will). I used to rescue animals (www.savealab.com), so I feel your pain.
