I have some specifics in mind, but they could change. Some things will not: 1) Celebration of life - mine, the the relationships I leave behind, the communities I have been part of, the gift of life itself from God, the wonder of living, loving, laughing, and sharing. This will require both humor and tears, music and sharing by as many people who would like to speak or share something. Lots of hugs and reunions will be a great benefit. Food will be essential. 2) Commemoration of death - I want there to be healing words for my loved ones, an opportunity to acknowledge the pain of loss, to grieve, and to find comfort from God's Word. This will require music, scripture, and some healthy preaching. 3) Anticipation of hope - I want people to know that there is hope and how to find it. It is important that someone proclaim the gospel message of eternal life as the free gift of God. I also want it to be a time of commitment to live each day adding value to other people's lives, investing in enduring things, loving people, mentoring youth, and encouraging those who need it. I want people to leave feeling better than when they came - even excited about the prospect of living another day and looking forward to Heaven. The last song needs to be stirring and triumphant. I hope someone shows up because (a) I'm going to miss it and (b) it is going to be a great party!!!!

I have already paid in advance for a Norweigan Cruise ship, that cruises the North Sea, to have me cremated while at sea and the executor of my will gets a free plane ride and cruise just for having agreed to take my ash urn and dump it overboard where my Viking ancestors were cremated.

I would love a huge block party...and this would be my fantasy wish...top jazz musicians would be playing, and Ella Fitzgerald would be singing..and we'd have the best block party..the best food..and the most fun! Celebrate the joy of being together.. the life lived to its fullest...that is what I would want! All my family and friends..acquaintances..strangers..whoever heard the music would be welcome..and there would be enough food for all..and most importantly, everyone would get along..no fights among the guests..and yes, there would be some imbibing done and no...whoever did imbibe would not, repeat not, get behind the wheel. Afterwards we'd have huge pajama party! :)

I already have the plans written out ... now, whether my wife allows it (I'll be gone, therefore not able to stop her), I want rock and roll songs for the whole service (already picked out), with ONE good hymn at the end. I want everyone to be happy because, I've lived a fantastic life, I've been loved by a beautiful woman, this beautiful woman blessed me with 3 fantastic kids. I've had the love of a great dog (who thinks I hung the moon, and follows my every step ... dogs love you no matter what)! I've had some fantastic friends, seen some beautiful places, and owned a fine home and a great car! There is nothing that I've ever wanted for in this life, so I want everyone to know and understand that I am gone to a better place, where I'll await all my loved ones. I'll be fishing with my Grandpa and a couple of school friends who left way too soon! I want everyone to be happy for me, so they can be happy too!

As long as I'm dead, I won't mind. On reflection, it seems I've answered this question twice. Ooops.

I want a proper dramatic funneral, black coffin with silver handles with a single black rose placed upon it. I want the 21 gun salute and 'Iris' by the Goo Goo dolls playing as my coffin is being carried.

Amazing grace on bagpipes and honor guard would be nice.

Cremate me & scatter my ashes, don't waste money on anything like flowers.
