The Bedouin wander (albeit in 4WDs), yet they seem to know what they're doing.

(EDIT) Agree. I've spent plenty of time wandering around and yet still knowing where I am. What is the quote from?

My Auntie bought me a top that said that on years ago, and I've been thinking about it ever since... I agree, as there's always the choice to wander. You can know your direction in life but still choose to go the scenic route... But personally I'm lost; I guess that's why I think about it so much, Is there a way I'm wandering but not lost? No, I have no idea where I'm going, and need to get my mind happy and healthy before I become any less lost x... good question tho x

Depends on what that means - and I don't know...
-
Depends where you wander. If you wander into the unknown you do not always end up lost. I agree, if you don't wander you will never know.
-
I agree , people search in all directions and explore new things all the time and they land on their feet - + 5

I agree, for many traditional sages and wise men of the past, and of all lands, wandered to gain wisdom and enlightenment. They learn humility, simplicity, and non attachment from the physical world. These people were from all major religions and many from no religions.

I always think it's going to be better in a new place. I love travelling and seeing new things, but inevitably every single time I end up missing my friends and family. I know that you can only find happiness in yourself and not in the newer and better places, but I seem to forget that every six months when I hop in my car or a plane ... but I don't think everyone who wanders is like me.

I agree, those who wander often gain much more knowledge than if they had stayed in the same place (actually it is one of the only ways to get knowledge, as staying in the same place would normally limit you to the same knowledge)
-
Sure. Sometimes I wander for the pleasure of it. Why not?
-
I agree. Sometime I get inspiration from wandering. And it's a good chance to clear my head.
-
I agree
-
Partly agree. You could wander in a place you don't know or in a place you know and just being bored.
-
Agree. It 'takes' all kinds, no? [besides, "lost" has a kinda creepy quasi-religious judgemental connotation to it, doesn't it?] - ;-)
-
Guess I agree, I mean maybe a wanderer never had a place to begin with, It doesn't matter what anyone thinks though, it's up to them really to know if they're lost or not. Only they know why they wander, and if they don't, they'll find out eventually.
-
wandering is a good thing, it helps clear the path ahead
-
Agree. It is a great adventure to wander.
-
I always wandered but only been lost part of the time.
-
Sure, my mind wanders ALL the time, but it comes home eventually.
