  • two motrin and a very dark room
  • depends on the cause, some things to concider 1 a caffeene headache (lack of or too much) 2 a hang over, too much booze last night.; fluids, advil, food, a walk, 3) tension, a warm shower, a drink, neck rub, advil 4) hunger, food water, 5) exposure to sun, rest, warm shower, hydrate, eat 6 asprin, and rest or asprin and fresh air.
  • Massage and then sleep It really depends what kind of headache. Lavender on temples a cold eye mask and silence helps.
  • If you are serious then please PLEASE follow this : Take fresh green chilli that is totally uncut i.e. it should not have any hole, aperture or cut and the stem should be intact. Break it in to two and lightly inhale from the broken parts for one or two breaths. Wait for about 15 secs (you may breath normal air in this period) and repeat the process with little more force while inhaling. If you want, cut another chilli and repeat for about 10 breaths. Success guaranteed. (I eat raw green chilli(s), garlic petals and onion during my dinner everyday and that keeps me fit. I don't eat onion and garlic during lunch only because of bad breath later on.) Hope it helps you.
  • Peace and quiet.
  • believe it or not sex...so never let your girlfriend use that as an excuse to get out of it. Sex createds natural pain relieving / feel good chemicals in your brain or something and makes your headache feel better.
  • The only thing that does anything at all for me is a cup of caffeinated coffee.
  • a nap in a quiet room
  • Excedrin pills and a cup of coffee/coke. the caffiene opens the capillaries in the head easing the pain (or something like that, I heard it from a neurologist and it always works for me.)
  • Look at your finger tips and imagine them getting warmer, this makes more blood flow to your fingers and lower the blood pressure in your head.
  • TAKE DRUGS ibuprofen, paracetamols...that kinda shit ;)
  • Change the radio station off of the Dr.Laura talkshow.
  • Or drink a lot of water... (sorry cant comment..)
  • SEX! or Tylenol which ever is easier to come by.
  • Take two Tylenol extra strengh gel caps and call me in the morning.
  • Take some Ibprofen!
  • brake a leg. then you wont feel your headache so much any more. your leg will hurt instead.
  • Masturbation. Works for me. Or sleep.
  • Depends on the type of headache. If its a sinus headache, slight pressure to both sides of the top of your nose (almost where your nose meets your eyes). If the headache is back of the head, pinch you spine where it meets the head (base of the skull). If the pain is toward the top of your skull, press your fingers to your temples. I avoid drugs as much as possible, and these work for me.
  • I agree with Nelson, it depends on what kind of headache it is. I'll assume it's nothing serious and give a few suggestions: If it's just a mild headache, then try massaging your scalp. If you think it may be the onset of a migrane, then take a couple of ibuprofen and drink a coke. This works to head it off! A sinus headache can be nursed with hot tea with lemon, or simply taking a decongestant will knock it out.
  • Advil is the best, than you should drink a Hot Tea with some Honey & a few drops of Lemon Juice in it, take a nap for an hour and you should fell OK. for me it usually helps alot. Good Luck!
  • Drink lots of water. Most headaches are born of dehydration.
  • I find, that if you have the time, sleep or a nap helps.
  • A cold rag on the back of your neck and a little caffiene. The cold rag calms the swelling, and the caffiene is always effective for me (fighting fire with fire)
  • accupressure- pinch the webbing between the thumb and pointer finger on both hands. massage for about 30 seconds
  • find a dark place and put a cold rag on your fore head
  • caffeine at the very start of a headache will restrict the blood vessels in your head. Inflamed blood vessels are the physical part that makes the pain in your head. Once you have the full blown headache, though, the caffeine will not help. At this point, I recommend a cold compress and a nap, if possible. Also, drink some gatorade to boost your electrolytes and hydrate you. I've also heard that particular nerves in your hands and elbows can be stimulated to alleviate pain in you head. This one would require further investigation, though as I am no expert.
  • Lavender, sugar under the tongue, sunglasses to reduce light intake with your eyes, massage, the pressure point mentioned above, I can't remember their names, but I think there are a couple of herbal teas that can kill headaches. Eating something helps sometimes. That headache you get from sleeping might be sleep-apnea, at least for me it was. I'm not entirely sure, but I think mint or peppermint can relieve pain by breathing it. Sometimes a head-freeze can kill a headache and sometimes it can make it much worse, it's a gamble.
  • I usually press my temples together on the side, knock on wood I don't get to many headaches so when I do they are usually mild. But I've also heard SEX is the best thing to relieve it too.
  • Accupressure.Thats the pressure on the portion joining the head and the neck on the back side.Just below the pituatary gland area.
  • I have been a migraine suffer for many years now. I'm not a fan of taking a tablet a day so I get my Doctor to give me a course of acupuncture. It has really helped me.
  • accupressure massage therapy with special magnets, or a T.E.N.S. unit which zaps you with a very special shock resulting in temporary pain relief.
  • Sleep.
  • Excedrin migraine.....and sleep.....
  • EFT is good for headaches, even migraines.
  • I would take some Thera Flu,get my comfy flannels on and crawl into bed.If I did not feel better in the a.m I would see my Dr.
  • Hey! Thanks to all of you who answered my question (What to do....? ). Just so you know, I didn't get any of your points (I had some good ratings there, too!) They were all given to the User whose question was similiar to mine, *because* they'd posted it first (according to Admin). How would you feel if this happened to you? (And don't say "you should have checked to see if it was already asked", because I did check.) Excuse me while I go check to make sure *THIS* question hasn't already been asked! Really, though, the two questions could have been interpreted either way. Now I am at the end of a list of 37 answers! I'll never get read! So again, what do you think about this? I'm going back to bed till I feel better. Life goes on....I'm not really panicked...just a little urked. *SMILES*
  • I take a Tylenol...
  • Go to sleep
  • A couple of Ibuprofen helps ya know.
  • hang your head upside down and eat apple sauce
  • Believe it or not but having sex can relieve your headache. It works for me alot of the time. I think it works best for those headaches which are stress related and there is nothing that reduces stress more in my opinion than sex. Try it and see.
  • Keep away from the computer, it you can't then move around every now and then, do some exercises. Drink water or urinate, they can be caused by water imbalace. Or just take a headache tablet.
  • Put your feet in a tub of as hotter water as you can stand. It somehow draws the blood from your head a little I think. I don't know how, but it's even worked decently when I've had a migraine. Amazing!
  • I think different people react differently to the different drugs. There was this one mild drug that worked great for me-but I don't know if you can still get it: Meclomen. It also worked great on bone & teeth pain.
  • To get one? Go to a rock concert and yell "You SUCK!" at the band.
  • Lay down in a darkened room.
  • Try these; Take a small, clean towel and dip it in white vinegar. Wrap the towel around your head, close your eyes and relax. You should be a changed man after about half an hour. Make a paste by pounding the dry ginger. Apply the paste on your forehead. Slight burning sensation notwithstanding, it is likely to send your headache packing. Onion is known to be a miracle-cure for headache. Let the tears overflow through your eyes, anyway they were about to flow on account of the unbearable headache, and soon you will wonder where this headache has gone. The cost of the onion will not exceed the professional charges of the medical practitioner, whatever may be the market trend! And finally, give headache a chance, it came unannounced, most likely it will depart unannounced! Without your treating it, rather ill-treating it!
  • It really depends on the type of headache. Sinus - A few Ibuprofen and a cold compress on my cheeks and forehead Migraine - DARK COOL room with no noise, a soup can to put under my neck for pressure points and Ibuprofen. If this doesn't work then I have to go in for a shot at the doctors. Stress - Cold compress, gentle massage at temples and forehead then work way down to neck and shoulders. The key for me is Ibuprofen and cold compress applied where needed
  • EFT tapping worked wonders for me. Drink lots of water. A hot bath helps a lot! GEt's the juices moving and takes your focus off the pain in the head. Also, make sure to have lots of really good sex.:P I hope you feel better! God bless.
  • Barbiturates are the best and are commonly prescribed for migraine headaches.I think the best over the counter remedy is aspirin although it is bad for your stomach so avoid taking it often. I like it in combo with caffeine. I don't think acidominiphen or ibruprofen work nearly as well.
  • A swim... its a workout, its cooling and its relaxing... I dont believe in using drugs to cure everything... Try it and you will feel better (naps a best for migraines)
  • Sex is the best remedy. I kid you not. It is a huge stress reliever ... it opens up the circulation of blood flow and plus feels good too. Or you may be dehydrated ... which in that case you need to drink electrolytes. Pedialyte is a good source or about a half gallon of water over the next hour.
  • If you can't get any sex, try an Excedrine Migraine. Works great! Cheaper than if you have to buy the sex, too, LOL.
  • One word answer SEX
  • Tylenol
  • Sex, followed closely by marijuana.
  • Very good sex.
  • caffeine helps me when i have a headache
