What is considered good gas mileage for a non-semi truck?

Whatever you can afford. Or, if you mean by "non-semi" a pickup truck. The average "good gas mileage" currently is near or between 17mpg and 23mpg highway. In 1979 I was getting 8mpg and considered it "good" gas mileage.
