Why Do We Have To Deal With So Many People Who Don't Speak English in our Everyday life?
When I was growing up everybody spoke English. Now we are likely to get tech support, and customer service in broken english. That makes no sense.

Where I live on the border with Mexico in Texas it is a given you need to speak as much Spanish as you can. English is almost a second language here. I have no problem with Spanish in this area.

bostjan the adequate 🥉 I used to have people climb up and down my property all of the time, most of them were exchange students, because my house is between the high school campus and a public park area. Someone told me that, if a student falls down the steep hill and gets hurt on my property, I am liable. I consulted with the local authorities, and they advised me to post signs, but the kids would climb under the signs and do it anyway. When I caught one of them, I yelled "Hey! The sign says 'No Tresspassing!' Please don't come down that hill!" She responded "Lo siento, no hablo inglés!" I said, "El letrero dice 'Prohibido el paso!' Por favor, mantente alejada de mi colina!" and she responded "Umm, uhhh, ...no espanol, portuguese, portuguese!"

Blame the rich American corporates the people you voted for they want good cheap workers where else will they get them from? If they cant speak the language they have to work cheap. You got what you voted for. Why else are they allowing the border to be overrun?

What do you expect when the government encourages Americans not to have children or to kill them in the womb? Children are the future of a nation Do you really believe you can replace the population with illegal immigrants instead of children and still have the same country?

It helps you develop your communication skills! YOU don't HAVE to deal with anyone who doesn't speak English. Just tell them you don't speak Spanish. If it works for you it should work for them. If you don't understand someone on the phone just ask for someone that speaks English please. Or tell them I can't understand you, could you transfer me to someone who speaks English? One reason you should seek to understand them is to know what they're saying, even if you feign not understanding. And one reason I think everyone should strive to understand everyone is because the US doesn't have an official language and if we can learn how to talk all these new computer words, gaming language, professional language and such we can learn a few key words of other languages. You're a smart guy, Hulk, why do you have a problem with learning another language?

Poor Paul Rodriguez had the same problem when he heard some recent immigrants speaking some S.E. Asian language in E. LA. He said it made him a little angry and he yelled at them saying "Oye, you guys are in the esatdos Unidos now! Speak Spanish! 2/22/23
