Corpses naturally smell bad but since zombies are fictional and belong in movies the idea of the smell of them is not created by movie directors.

I can confess I have not smelt a dead zombie, I have smelt death and it stinks. As for the second part of your question, they don't show zombies showering either, but they do use deodorant, they use Lynx Afterlife "the dead effect."
