If an unmarried person can legally change their name in court then why are boys named junior when named after their fathers but girls aren’t named junior when named after their mothers.
Also girls change their last name not first name when married so therefore they can still be named jr because when a parent and child have the same name it can be pretty confusing unless they are called by their first and last name.

You can change your name any time you want just pay 'the man' the money and tell them what to call you. Same with the birth certificate. Quit trying to find injustices where they don't exist.
