Is Santa a female in Latino lore?
I always thought this entity was male in all lore, but the name Santa is feminine in the Spanish language.

No. It's a long story, but the "Cliff's notes version" is that "Santa Claus" is cutesy-talk for the figure in Dutch-speaking traditions named "Sinte Klaas" or "Sinterklaus."
