      Thank you.
  • Only a few get injuries that severe. Lots of safety equipment. They get payed MILLIONS and the odds are real good that you'll be fine.
    • Linda Joy
Statistics vary, but they're high for concussions, traumatic brain injury and subsequent neurological damage. that's why it's in the news.

Offer me a few millions and plenty of safety equipment and I'LL risk it.
    • Linda Joy
I won't! I've seen what brain damage can do to a person and their family and friends! Did you see Million Dollar Baby? Oh well I guess I never really was motivated by money much
  • Ask those want-to-be NFL players who are vying for their multi-million dollar contracts.

For that kind of money I would be a guillotine tester.

For that kind of money, I'd even pull the lever myself.

Apparently I value my brain more than money. Although" All will be healed in the resurrection.

"That's why girls don't play the game, Coach." That's the risk that comes with the reward, Linda. I don't want to hear them crying later, when they signed up knowing that there was a risk.
    • Linda Joy
I don't see it as crying. I see it is trying to inform. They didn't have this information when they made the decision. I'm only guessing here, but they probably would have made the same decision had they known. They just might have planned differently for their retirement.

Everyone knows there's risks of getting hurt in football. Broken legs, concussions, even death.
    • Linda Joy
      That's true.
  • Far more head injuries are caused in the home by accidents. Considering how much football players get paid anyone would sign up.
  • maybe not but people play football all the time
  • Offer me a few millions and plenty of safety equipment and I'LL risk it.
    • Linda Joy
I'd have probably done it even without the money just for the thrill! But then again I've gotten concussions in far less glamorous ways! And got nothing for it.

Sounds like something I'd have said... hmm.
    • Linda Joy
      Lol
  • That is the question. Maybe if you're playing a position like a quarterback...but otherwise NO.
  • Not for my kids. I'd rather they played golf.
