  • No it is not. In fact, I'm pretty sure there's no land under that ice (and that's why it isn't classified as a land mass of any type.) (It does have islands around it though..Norway...and such.) But you should probably google it on wikipedia to be sure. ... I am sure they have no penguins though. *gasp* (I know...it's the Finns. They ate them. They eat Santa's reindeers too!! O_o (I'm kidding, I like Finland. Its people and ways are quite charming.) (They actually do eat reindeer though. And mooses. And they put fish on pizza, and imitate the japanese) ..but there never were any penguins. Much of Finland is in the Arctic Circle, so you can see the northern lights, and the days have no night at all half the year (& vice versa, the other half). And you can go to a restaurant made entirely of ice there (tables, building and all). Google some pictures. It's cool!! (It really is. bring a coat. No, two! *blink* .....By the way they have the highest happiness rating of any country (in spite of the long winters and alcoholism that results (good things come of it too though..like they have a rich tradition of story telling, and they all have saunas). And that highest happiness rating also includes that women are better off there than anywhere else. This is because of a decent mix of socialism, which Americans are stupid as hell about. (There is NO homelesssness (or joblessness) in Finland. They dont even have a word for "homeless". It's a decent country! ...Oh but this is more than you asked ;)

In the U.S. we consider there are 7 continents, being North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, India, Antartica. ..... But England counts only FIVE continents (they consider north and south america to be one continent, and they refer to europe and asia as "Eurasia". ....The Arctic: is just an ice pack.
