Why do people still answer questions that have been irrelevant since 2003 ?

I honestly think it's a combination of both. I see where a bunch are getting upset because they want to answer old Q's that already have 100 answers and their new answers don't show. -

I can see what you mean, Ice man. I think they should lift the limit on the number of answers per question. The old AB had one or two questions which had over 1000 answers, although I think that was partly due to the merging of duplicate questions. -

I'm sure there's a limit to the space that's available on their server, so I understand the 100 limit. So it's either erase half the old answers or better yet - don't even re-post these Q's in the first place because a lot of them pertain to subjects that are absolutely irrelevant in today's world.

12-21-2016 Because we have time on our hands and active minds. Almost all questions are irrelevant because they can be answered by a google search faster than you can type the search terms. But the alternative is to turn off the computer and go watch the weather blow in.

But seriously - why can't all these people with time on their hands, and active minds start asking questions so this old shit from the dark ages doesn't have to be re-posted, and used for space filler ? -
