I've heard two different stories as to why they aren't friends anymore...The first is because Gerard wanted to get sober, and Bert got mad because he was losing his party buddy...And the other story I've heard was that Gerard was angry at the fact The Used put "Under Pressure" as a bonus track on "In Love And Death" because it was a song in which the proceeds were for charity...

there's three theories... 1. Gerard decided to stop drinking, and Bert felt like he was loosing his drinking partner. I do not believe this one is true, because Gerard got sober of August 11, 2004, and there is an interview with Way and McCracken in February 2005. 2. The Used put Under Pressure on their second album, which was their and MCR's charity thingamajig. 3. McCracken was jealous of Billie Joe Armstrong, Green Day, for being able to go on tour with Way and his band, so McCracken went to a show with a megaphone telling people not to enter the show. i think that one is the real one... because people said this actually happened... you know, seeing him there with a megaphone, telling people not to go in and watch the show and stuff... yeah.

I've heard 2 things, 1. Bert and Gerard were bf's and they broke up( Dont think this one is true!) 2. Bert shouted outside a MCR concert, that they had to turn and not listen to MCR. Because of some greenday stuff I think x] I belive number 2 is true :)

I KNOW!!!According to rumours, it was the fact that Gerard was sober. If you look at the infomation, that is incorrect. Bert and Gerard were friends after Gerard sobered up. So, no one really knows the actual reason, sorry. Bert says it is because 'Gerard changed.' Bert acually said once in a magazine interview that he thought Gerards head was getting to big and he just didn't want to be around people like that, and that was the last time he would ever talk about it. It had nothing to do with Gerard being sober.

As every ones been saying, there's a lot of different stories going around. There is a Used song that is said to be about Gerard, about how he "changed" and "got a bid head" And I think this is the most plausible reason, or maybe they just got into a fight? I'm not sure, though.
