G'day swmaster, Thank you for your question. According to Wikipedia, "His mother, Shmi (Pernilla August), says that he has no father, and that she simply became pregnant with him." Personally, I think he might by Qui-Gon Jinn but that is definitely not canon. I have attached sources for your reference. Regards

Its mentioned in the book series somewhere i believe... but it never played a big roll in the plot so it wasnt a big deal. It couldn't be Qui-Gon Jin because he was assigned to find aniken and was surprised to find the power of the force when he first met young Skywalker. He very specifically mantions that fact of first meeting him when Qui-Gon and Obi were discussing the future of anakin.

According to his mother, 'he had no father, he just happened'. In revenge of the Sith, Palpatine tells him that Darth Plageus learnt of a power where he could manipulate midi chlorians to create life. It is therefore possible that any force user who learned this power could have manipulated the midi chlorians in Shmi Skywalker and created Anakin. As far as I know, this is the only clue to Anakin's roots. SWMASTER- Thank you.

I have recently bought a book answering this question. The New Essential Guide Chronology says that Darth Plageus influenced the midi chlorians in Shmi Skywalker to create anikin skywalker. He planed to take the chiled, knowing how powerful he would become, and train him in the dark side of the force. He of course, was unable to do this before he was killed by his padewan Darth Sidous.

I seriously think that Skywalker Sr is one of the Sith Lords (maybe friend of Darth Sidious). History mentioned that many Sith Lords die fighting each other to gain leadership.

Dark Plageus. Dark Plageus was killed by Dark Sitius, who he was teaching at the time. So, Anakin did have some of the dark force n him, so it's no surprise how he ended up Darth Vader.
