G'day Ridiculous, Thank you for your question. The short answer is no. I doubt that such a sacrifice would end world hunger and it is not my decision to make in any case. Regards
-
No, I don't think so. For one I don't think I would be able to grasp how the death of my son would have any significant effect on world hunger, and I don't think whatever tiny effect it did have would last very long.
-
Never. Humans just aren't made that way. We take care of people we're closest to and whose fate we actually CAN influence. World hunger is just one horror, and it could end maybe for a brief time, but then other forces, both natural and human, would start it up again. Meanwhile, your child would be gone forever.
-
NO. no normal human being would kill any child for any reason.
-
I certainly couldn't do it.
-
I don't have a child but if I did then I doubt it would be fat enough to able to solve the world hunger problem! So I guess you'll have to add me to the 'no' pile...
-
of course not and what they gonna do make soup out of the poor kid????
-
No. I have no right to sacrifice that which is not mine, and my child's life is not mine. His/her life is his/her own. I would, however, gladly sacrifice my own life if it would end world hunger in a way that sees that everyone is fed. Let's be careful with the wording...be careful what you ask for. World hunger could be ended by everyone dying, as well. No people, no hunger. I'd be very careful about what I was doing.
-
Yeah, if it means it saves millions of others mothers children!
-
NO...
-
No. Even if the effect would be guaranteed I could not do so.

There is a wonderful Australian poem by Dame mary Gilmore which reads: Nationality I have grown past hate and bitterness, I see the world as one; But though I can no longer hate, My son is still my son. All men at God's round table sit, and all men must be fed; But this loaf in my hand, This loaf is my son's bread. ========== The crux of this poem is: although I want to see the end of hunger, I will not sacrifice my child for it.
-
No, but I'd be willing to give them two of yours.
-
No and I wouldn't sacrifice your child either. I have risked my own life for things with far less import than ending world hunger. So I suppose I might make that "leap" of faith if I was convinced it would work.
-
Absolutely not! Who knows, the child I sacrifice might be the one that grows up and ends world hunger? I wouldn't sacrifice one of them, but I have taught them about it and they are doing some things to help.
-
No. Dunnno what that says about me...and I have lived in Famine areas and wept at what I saw....
-
If I'm not hungry then no. If I am hungry, I'll eat him myself.
-
nope
-
I would like to end world hunger... but sorry can't do it this way!
-
No and frankly it ain't necessary. We could end it tomorrow if those who have too much were forced to give to those who don't have any. Money that is currently being spent on designer handbags could be spent on irrigation systems in countries where water is the big road block to a decent meal.
-
The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one.
-
NEVER !!! My Child(ren) = My World
-
i don't know what it is like to have a born child yet but i am guessing only if he wanted too sacrifice himself
-
Yes offcourse but after that i would kill myself
-
Sorry, but no.
-
No, because that would be a cowardice act. One has no right to kill other lives, be it humans or animals, and call it a sacrifice. A sacrificial act is meant to be a heroic act, which means the individual sacrifice his/her own life out of free will to save someone else. To force someone else to die unwillingly can never, for anyone in a righteous state of mind, be called a sacrifice but that of a coward's act.

How hard is it really to make a few farms? if a country can't do even that for there people then to hell with them.
-
No way in hell. I know that sounds cruel but why would i sacrifice my own child?
-
No. I wouldn't sacrifice anything to end world hunger.
-
No No I would not.
-
No, because it wouldn't be nearly big enough for that.
