A terrorist is using terror to achieve his/her ends. Putting bombs in public places, attacking ordinary people going about their ordinary lived because of of what the government of the place they live is doing. A freedom fighter is fighting for the freedom of his/her country from an invader - as opposed, for example, to those who are fighting for religious reasons. The two categories overlap - a freedom fighter may use terrorism. In my opinion, terrorism is never justified under any circumstances, however good the cause. Freedom fighters can be justified, but usually are not. To justify freedom fighting (without terrorism i.e. attacking only the armed forces of the "oppressor") the cause has to be clearly justified *and* the fight reasonably winnable at a limited human cost. Few wars/rebellions satisfy both those tests - particularly the latter.

terrorism is when an individual, group or state uses violence, usually barbaric brutality, against unarmed civilians to ensure their demands, gains or control are established. a freedom fighter is an individual, within a group, whose aims usually centre around national liberation or communism against invasion, occupation, systematic state violence or terrorism. its not so much a matter of what side they're on. to understand why a terrorist or freedom fighter commits acts isn't to condone.

A terroist is one who attacks the soft targets that include not only unarmed civilian or any human who is unarmed(weather a an unarmed solider)or he attacks the armed forces but dont have peoples popular will for it while freedom fighter is one who attacks the armed forces having peoples popular will for it. A freedom fighter becomes a terroist the moment he attacks on a soft target or he attacks on armed forces but people are not supportive of it.

A terrorist is a person or organisation that uses terror and barbic violence targeted specifically aganst innocents to achieve their goals. A freedom fighter is one who is opposed to what they perceive as an evil and oppressive entity, and seeks to eliminate the supposed oppressors through whatever means they can use. It doesn't take much for a freedom fighter to become a terrorist.

A freedom fighter is oppressed somehow and wants just to do his or her own thing and be left alone. a terrorist wants to do his or her own thing and wants to make you do it too

I think there is a major difference. A freedom fighter fights for what's been taken away from his people. A person who fights for justice. A person who cannot sit quietly while innocent women and children are being killed for no reason. He/she fights to left oppression and occupation off of his/her people. A terrorist is someone who takes what's not his and them tries to convince the whole world that they are defending themselves, when they are actually the oppressors. A perfect example would be the conflict between the Palestinians Zionist Israel.
