Some doctors, such as Dr. F.William Danby of the Dartmouth Medical School, believe that dairy rich foods, including cheese, possess a strong link to acne aggravation. The iodine and naturally occurring hormones found in cow's milk and other dairy products has been thought to spur the appearance of acne in some people.
On the Other: There is No Clear Answer
Everyone's body reacts in their own way to different types of food. Though some people may experience acne outbreaks as a result of cheese and dairy consumption, others may enjoy dairy with no consequence.
Bottom Line
Though there are clear links between diet and acne aggravation, every person's body chemistry is different. Eliminating dairy and cheese from your diet may ease breakouts, but there is no sure answer.
