  • No...and WHY? because he is not being obedient to what Jesus taught...to preach THE KINGDOM... (Matthew 28:19, 20) Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.
  • The Pope pretends to talk to god. But he doesn't really. But I think they text each other.

  • It might surprise you to know that the pope doesn't know much more than you, except of course that he is well instructed in Roman Catholic traditions. Roman Catholics think of God as something like a brand name, while company policy is the important part. Likewise, Christian ministers in general do not know the doctrines of their church, but they are instructed in the traditions of their denomination. The bible gives detailed instructions on how to conduct a meeting of believers in 1 Corinthians 12, 13, and 14. Not one denomination follows them. The bible clearly defines what a Christian is in Romans 10:9&10 but most Christians don't know that. Pope talking to God? That's about like a kid talking to Santa Claus.

It is not reliable to let people tell you what the bible says. Many people will make up stuff because they don't know what it says, and many will make up stuff because they wish it would not say what it says. You just have to read it for yourself. Read a chapter of Proverbs every day. Proverbs has 31 chapters so you can keep your place by just looking at a calendar. There is no religion or nothing in Proverbs and you don't have to believe anything. Just read to find wisdom. When you are comfortable with that, then read the bible from Romans to 2 Thessalonians over and over until you start to remember what it says. That is the part that applies to Christians. Here is a book to help you to understand the bible. It's a free download and you can get a hard copy at any bible book store. http://philologos.org/__eb-htetb/ "How To Enjoy The Bible"

So what about Matthew 24:14? Are you obedient to it??
    • pugwashjw65
And Matthew 28: 19,20....We have to be obedient to what Jesus asked.
  • If he wants to, I don't see why not. He believes he is talking to God. Whether he really is or not is another matter entirely.
  • Anyone can talk to God. But Roman Catholics believe in the necessity of a hierarchical church structure where it is something like the elected pope becomes God's representative, mediates God, and then it flows to the cardinals and then the priests, then lay people.
  • There are denominations, some cults that believe they speak for God. That they are God's ONLY channel of communication to man. Because they speak for God, if you don't belong to their cult... you are doomed! Hogwash. We each have our own personal relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ, when we make the decision to follow Him... by the power of the Holy Spirit. No man comes to the Father except through the Son. We each have the opportunity to speak to God. We may hear from Him, we may be led by the Spirit. The Pope is just a man, not much different that you or I. I don't believe he has any special powers.
  • Hey that reminds me of something~Do you know what that nub is for on top of the popes cap? Dec.21 That is where the propeller goes!
  • The pope is just a man. He can talk to the Lord God in prayer just the same as anyone whom believes in the Lord God...no more no less.
  • 12-24-2016 The pope is just another man. The man who sits on the highest throne in the land still sits on his own bum.
  • The way we and anyone talks to God is through prayer. (Psalm 65:2) "O Hearer of prayer, to you people of all sorts will come."
  • Literally, God does not talk to believers as He did with His prophets before the scriptures came to be. It is through prayer how believers communicate with God. Hebrews 1:1 "Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets," Romans 8:26 "Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words."
  • Everybody can talk with God. you don't need pop to talk to God for you😏
  • Anyone can pray to God. But are his prayers heard? There is an aspect of prayer that is overlooked by most of those in Christendom, just as in Isaiah’s day, the prophet wrote “Even though you make many prayers, I am not listening . . . Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the badness of your dealings from in front of my eyes; cease to do bad. Learn to do good.” (Isaiah 1:15-17) Yes, if those Israelites wanted God’s favour, they had to act in a way that pleased him. Another reason why some prayers are not heard, The Bible says: “You do ask, and yet you do not receive, because you are asking for a wrong purpose, that you may expend it upon your cravings for sensual pleasure.” (James 4:3) So God will not answer prayers for the satisfying of wrong desires. We must also remember that God does not take orders from humans, so to speak. He is the One who will decide how or if, he will answer our prayers.
  • As a former Catholic, having gone through the Catholic school system and all of the required Catholic classes as a child... I can say with much authority that the Catholic religion is a non Christian sect. As a major member of the catholic religion, following all of the non Christian practices of said religion. i can not honestly say that someone with such a background in pagan practices could actually commune with God. Can a Catholic be Christian, I would have to say emphatically yes. In the same way a Mormon or Jehovah's Witness could also be Christian. As a whole, these religions are completely non Christian pagan belief systems. Yet, No one knows the hearts of each and every member of said pagan religions. except for God, that is. If the Pope actually has relationship with God and has given his life to God. I believe God hears his prayers. God can not look upon sin, so if the pope buys completely into the Catholic religion, he is in a constant separation from God due to the pagan belief structure with in the Catholic church. So God can not even look upon the Pope. He does not even see him. yet, like a Mormon or Jehovah's Witness, the Pope has moments of clarity and seeks Christ/God as his only means of salvation. And in that (those) moment[s] the Pope prays to God, that Yes emphatically, God see's hears his prayers.

Jehovah God has said it all...in his book. Its up to us to be obedient to it...as I previously stated Matthew 28: 19,20 Only J,W's are doing this and now with no more door to door because of the virus, we are phoning and writing personal letters..and not just delivering printed matter...all the letters are personally hand written...so they become a personal communication... So WHY should Jehovah even consider anything coming from the Vatican. They are simply NOT obedient. And they do not ever use his personal name..."God"" is his title,,,

Pagan? Joe Fraud, where do your precious traditions come from? Trinity? Immortality of the soul? Christmas? Easter? Halloween? Any of that in the Bible? (Well, the word Easter is in the KJV but not like the pagan holiday Easter) Do a little research and you will see none of those phrases or words are in the Christian Bible but all developed over time. (Hebrews 13:9) Do not be led astray by various and strange teachings, for it is better for the heart to be strengthened by undeserved kindness than by foods, which do not benefit those occupied with them. (2 Timothy 4:2-4) Preach the word; be at it urgently in favorable times and difficult times; reprove, reprimand, exhort, with all patience and art of teaching. 3?For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the wholesome teaching, but according to their own desires, they will surround themselves with teachers to have their ears tickled. 4?They will turn away from listening to the truth and give attention to false stories.
  • Everyone can.
  • Yeah, ummm, that's not how it works. Anyone can talk to God, but he only replies to a few people. You're not one of them.
  • 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all—the testimony that was given at just the right time.
  • Maybe. Touch base with God & he'll let you know.
  • Why would you think that’s even possible??
  • mabye because he answers what you say to him Im a true beliver
  • Not Really... 😇
  • Can the Pope actually talk to a ruse developed by ancient world leaders intended to be utilized in order to control the common people? The question itself is preposterous.
  • Everybody can talk to God. Do you mean is there an audible conversation? Then I ask you, WHY do you even think that? God speaks first of all to REASON. Unless you've sinned against reason you should be able to 'hear' basic morality.
  • [[ Can the pope actually talk to God? ]] . . Of course. Of course, ANYONE can do that. . . . . [[ isn't the Pope elected to speak to God? ]] . . Yes, Roman Catholics believe that he is "the Vicar of Christ" on Earth. That is to say: [they believe] that Christ has chosen him to "run the church on Earth" for Christ. A sort of representative of Christ. . . . . [[ Electing someone to talk to God? ]] . . You've definitely got the wrong idea about this. In Christianity, ANYone can talk to God. Even non-Christians. So: that is NOT why the Pope is elected Pope, nor do Roman Catholics believe that is why.
  • Since no gods actually exist to talk to, no.
  • In Roman Catholic theology and doctrine, yes. Catholics believe that when the Pope is speaking or writing "ex cathedra," he is speaking or writing with inspiration from God, that is, on the basis of what God has communicated to him, and thus it is his pronouncements in this context that are supposed to be "infallible".
  • The pope has the same privilege that you and me and everybody else has to talk to God in the name of Jesus Christ
  • Let's just say that Catholics believe God speaks to the Pope and tells him what to declare or decree on subjects of doctrinal import. They claim that when the Pope pronounces on these matters, he has been divinely inspired by God and thus his statements about them are "infallible". He is not to be considered infallible regarding anything else, because in those cases, he is simply expressing personal views and beliefs.

WHY is the Pope not obeying Matthew 28: 19,20? AND also not using God's NAME..."That is my name" Exodus 6:3 & 15:3...The title 'god'is not a personal name and nowhere in the Bible does HE say to NOT use his name.
  • No more than you or I can talk to God.
  • anyone can talk to God, in any language
  • any one can and in any language
  • any one can talk to God
