Initiating a Project
A game designer initiates a project, leading all idea-generation meetings, presenting each idea to clients and/or senior management.
Coding
Game designers create the graphics of a game, working directly with coders who translate those designs into computer language.
Packaging
In addition to the program itself, game designers are also responsible for designing the packaging in which the program will be encased. This is typically done in conjunction with marketing and/or branding specialists.
Promotional Material
Graphics used in all game promotional materials, such as websites, advertisements and the like are created by the game designer.
