Living costs in Thailand are a great deal cheaper than they are in the United States. You can expect to enjoy the same conveniences and standard of living that you would in the most western countries for a lot less money in Thailand.
On the Other: Living Expenses
Costs of living in Thailand have been creeping up over the years, and electricity is something that incurs a significant amount in terms of cost. Cities such as Bangkok can cost more than other locations, and many apartments don't include cooking facilities. Lack of cooking facilities means eating out on a regular basis, and that can get expensive.
Bottom Line
Living in Thailand can be cheaper than what you can expect in other countries, but it isn't without its costs. Doing a little research before you go can show you what you can expect to spend the most money on.
