I believe that capitalism lends the most freedom to its citizens. It doesn't restrict people to any "class" like many other regimes. It places no glass ceilings on success. It is a great incentive to be creative and take risks. It has allowed people under its wing to raise the quality of life for people all over the world.

It is when moral people use it. It can be used immorally as well. All forms of socialism can also be very immoral. One of the largest socialist experiments of all time collapsed under its own weight of immorality and incompetence.

Pure capitalism is moral and conforms to the laws of nature in that it recognizes that the rich (or strong) cannot exist and thrive without the support of the weak (or poor). So the strong takes care of the weak - even if its only for their own (the strong's) sake. Capitalism becomes corrupted when the government provides a safety net for the incompetent capitalists who should in real-world, free-market conditions die a natural death and be replaced by competent capitalists.

Personally, I think capitalism breeds/feeds greed. So if you think being greedy is moral then Capitalism is your ticket to it! Happy Wednesday! :)
