Just about everything. She was a terrible cook. She was always drunk, so she constantly forgot about what was on the stove and burned it. I ate so much burned food growing up I can't even add it up!

Corn beef & cabbage with black eyed peas is #1. Close second is a tie between meatloaf & broccoli soup. I still don't like those things. If I know my mom is cooking corn beef & cabbage I won't even go over there to visit for a few days b/c of the smell.

When we were poor we ate tons of cream of tomato soup with rice in it. I cannot stand the sight of that damned soup even now 35 years later.
-
My mom was a fan of liver, and made it often. I HATED it, that stuff is so gross. I just used to eat the onions and whatever side dish that came with it, usually salad. I forced myself to eat it eventually, but everyone saw I was about to throw up. At that point, my dad made canned snails for me to eat, then my mom got all pissed. Yeah I hate liver but I eat snails, figure that one out.
-

Peas, beans or liver did not like them at all.

To be honest, everything. My mum would get fixated on cooking 1 dish at a time. I cant ever eat Paella again as my mum cooked it almost every day for about a year before we moved to Spain.... just the thought sends shivers down me spine!

Stir fry... I love stir fries, but my mum has never been a great cook! Her stir fries were bland.

Spaghetti, because she cooked it almost every night and added green peppers and onions. But I like spaghetti and green peppers today. Go figure.
-
She used to steam zucchini and squash. I hated the taste of them, but was forced to eat it. To this day I won't touch the stuff- thanks a lot Mom! +++
-
Either my mommy is a great cook, or I'm not that picky, but I have nothing to say here. Although one of my grandmas used to cook very healthy, never used salt, never fried anything. All she did looked dead and tasted like a foam plastic.

For some reason, I dreaded the days when my mother would cook steaks. It wasn't until I was in my early 20's that I began to embrace steak in all of it's tender and juicy glory. ;p
