June Bug,and they are edible,supposedly they taste like pop corn shrimp dipped in molasses,and said to be highly nutritional,as we as delicious.

The Hercules or Scarab beetle. Hercules because they're small but mighty, and the Scarab because I love the blue-ish hue of their carapace!

...GREAT question, Google...I like many: lady bird beetles, darkleen beatles (spelling?), dragon flies, lightening bugs, pill bugs are darling...praying mantis...walking sticks...bumble bees...ect...I respect the insect kingdom...(but there are those that are menancing (I am not all Pollyanna about insects...lol)...

Ladybugs. They eat aphids and I think they are sweet.

Ladybugs, I bring them inside when it gets colder so they can hibernate in my house - I don't know if they do or just die off but I try to save them

There are so many cool insects. Snow scorpionflies get out onto the snow in the winter on a warm day and they have unique mouthparts that form a long snout. Stalk-eyed flies have their eyes on the ends of long stalks to either side of the head (see avitar).
