they might end up with alzheimer's

I drink like a fish and I'm envious of those who don't actually like alcohol. I have met a couple such people and have told them they are lucky and shouldn't bow to any odd social ideas that you need alcohol to join in Western party life. Those who are not 'allowed' alcohol and don't drink just for that reason I feel sorry for.
-
I feel bad for them, and feel thankful I'm not them.
-
I don't think anything about them. Id be more apt to think about people who drink too much.
-
I don't have a need to drink myself into an alcoholic stupor. I don't have a need to drink so that others will be my friend, or so that I will fit in with my friends, even those friends of mine who do drink. My friends who do drink all accept me for what I am, not what I drink. Conversely, any "friends" who did not understand this about me would not long be my friends, nor would I miss them. So why should I drink? Why should I partake of something that will dull my senses, dull my mind, even cause damage to my liver, kill my brain cells?
-
I have a few friends who are in professional sports and they do not drink. When I was younger I drank more, but after stopping 9 months during my pregnancy I totally got off the drinking. Now I only drink a glass of wine sometimes when we are out for dinner. I only drink when it has a purpose, for example enriching your food. I don't drink just to drink.
-
I only know one person who doesn't drink, and would often meet him on nights out and wonder how on earth he could stand talking to everyone when they were drunk, as the only way I can stand being out in pubs with drunks is if I am too.
-
I don't see any thing wrong I never drink alcoholic drinks and I don't love to;).
-
I don't drink and I think I'm great!!
-
They probably have a good reason. I don't like the taste or the effect it has on me. But to each his own.
-
Well, if they dont take them, i assume they paid for it, which is a very good think, pay for your booze!
-
No thoughts at all. We all get to decide what we'll eat and drink.
-
I admire people who don't follow the crowd and can say *no* to recreational drugs..alcohol maybe fine in moderation..however the majority of people abuse it like almost everything else in life..the abuse only leads to crime, abuse, ill health, and death..whats so good about that?
-
they have their own thoughts on alcohol consumption...
-
I dont care
-
I respect their decision. Everyone is allowed to make their own choices. At least they will never get arrested for DWI.
-
We are wise not to. Alcohol eats your brain cells and organs.
-
It is their choice and I respect their decision.
-
To each their own.
-
They can't possibly have a hangover.
-
I respect their choice to obstain.
-
I don't drink alcoholic beverages. I admire those people who also don't drink alcohol. I saw how can other people change into monsters under the influence of alcohol. Well, my father was sometimes drunk too often. Besides it's healthy not to drink alcohol. I'll have more brain cells than others when I'll be older. ;)
-
I think they don't drink alcohol.
-
good for them!
-
I think they're a little extreme, same as people that abuse alcohol! If there are severe alcoholics in their family then I can understand their reason!
-
That is their choice, and it is fine with me.
-
usually uptight and need to losen up
-
I'm about to turn 38 in October and I've drank beer about 3 times in my life in my early twenties. I never liked it. I've never been drunk. I just don't see the point in numbing my senses. The things I do for fun can be better done with a completely sober mind.
-
I'm usually too drunk to care.
-
I believe in moderation in all things. We all have the right to choose what and how much we consume. I have the most respect for someone who knows when to stop.
-
I respect them, as long as they don't attempt to convert me into a tee-totaler.
-
It's a personal choice. They'll never have to fight alcoholism (something that runs in my family) and will have fewer health problems that can be traced to alcohol consumption and/or abuse. Those of us who drink socially have also made a personal choice.
-
watch out when they offer to borrow your car or truck
-
I stopped Drinking a year ago! I'm 19 and I just didn't enjoy it, I realised that I can have fun without drinking, so didn't see a point in drinking anymore.
-
Good for you!
-
I don't drink alcohol. I have a great time and have never understood the appeal. Goes without saying, I've been the designated driver my whole adult life.
-
most are ok if the are tolerent of others who do drink
-
Live and let live. I don't care what other people do, and I don't want them in my business necessarily either.
-

-

-

-
I used to drink quite a bit and never thought anything of them...now that I stopped while pregnant and it's too hard to care for a baby with a hang over...I'm one of them....I like it better this way now anyway
-
Don't worry, I think I've taken up their slack...
-
I think its cool they can kick is and be loose even when they arnt drunk.
-
Each to their own...
-
I think that they are missing out. Unless they are alcoholics.
-
I never drink alcohol, and I am very happy. Its not because of religion or morals, its just because I simply have no desire to drink.
-
Some people never drink for many reasons. Maybe they were never exposed to alcohol or their religion forbids alcohol~this does not make them a bad person. I know there is some people who have not had a hangover and experience the drive heaves. This would be better not to experience. I had my share of drinking experiences to last a lifetime. I don't think drinking is good or bad it is just part of life you either do or don't do. It is not the amount of alcohol you consume but how the alcohol effects your personality.
-
We are different than most.
-
They are wise.
-
That they don't care to drink... to each their own, and as long as they don't judge me for having a drink (or 10), I really don't care!
