I really do not like watching black and white shows. I say "If I wanted to watch black and white, I'd buy a black and white TV." lol +5
-
Definitely! My favorite all-time movie is "Creature from the Black Lagoon".
-
Yes but usually when I'm alone because others don't enjoy them as much and it makes it harder to enjoy.
-
not really a big fan of black and white movies/shows. Occassionally i will watch a black and white western or james bond with my dad though.
-
Yes, occasionally. Last night I watched two old Holmes movies with Basil Rathbone. They were made when England was at war in WWII, and Holmes had an uplifting message for the people of England at the end of both movies, based not at all on the character Conan Doyle created.
-
Yes some of my favorite movies were in B&W
-
Yes, they don't differ to much from color. I like the character build of the older movies, and I concentrate more on the story when not distracted by color.
-
It depends on which ones I'm watching. I like the old black and white horror films. ^_^

Wow, funny you should ask that........I mean really, really. I made a comment the other day to someone about the good ole days. Later, wondering what I used as a reference for that statement, I realized it was the old Movies. They were happy and funny full of people in great places having a wonderful time or not. Hahahaha. Singing, dancing and elevator music with a smiling young man asking what floor you wanted to go to. Wow!! I've been thinking about that for a day or more.
-
Yes I do watch old movies. It's an gives immense pleasure

I would not say I like but I wouldn't mind really.
-
No, I prefer color movies. Watching B&W is like looking at shadows. :D +5
-
Yes, very much, Bogart, the Thin Man Series, Film Noir etc. +5 CT Best, Jonathan

Some of the really old ones are great. I still like the old Buster Keaton, Laurel & Hardy, Keystone Cops, and who could forget the antics of the Marx Brothers. :)
-
Some I like to watch. I recently saw one with Cary Grant which was filmed around 1948 and was really good. Hitchcock movies in particular were incredible and I think most were done in the late 40's early 50's. I don't like the really old ones from the 30's where the acting was so over the top and the sound wasn't great.
-
I do. I find them very artistic...sometimes color gets in the way of the drama. The photography..the shadows...there is much mystery in the shadows. Of course I grew up on movies that were black and white so I'm probably partial to them for that reason! :)
-
Yes I love old black and white "war movies"
-
I love them! Some movies look much better in black and white. Back when they tried to convert black and white films to color - that was a terrible idea (for the most part). I wish I could have a black and white dream. ^^;
-
I actually PREFER them! That's back when there were REALLY storylines

The movies are good and the actors are superb, but I miss the beauty of the color.
-
Yes I like the old school gangster/western/war movies. I also leave the TV on TCM when I sleep because I like the ambience of a black and white screen in the dark. The only thing I hate is the musicals because they are gay.
-
They are some of the greatest movies of all time.
-
