Is there any reason why I should not remove outdated versions of .NET Framework from my SP3 machine?

There's maybe a handful of consumer applications out there that use the .NET Framework. Tools like the ATI Catalyst Control Center require some version of the .NET Framework installed to work correctly. I would probably just leave them installed unless you really need to free up some hard drive space.
