they are happy (hopefully proud). Got my job as a teacher at 19 before I even had my degree and got my permenncy before I was 25...so m job is secure for the next 30 years...my salar is decent so yeah...I think my parents are Ok with it ;)

my mother loves my new job so much, she even comes to watch me strip for money!!!! :)

They have no problems with it, it pays well, has a gold plated benefits package, and is reasonably secure short of total economic collapse. They are glad that at least one of their kids has managed to keep a steady, decent paying job.

Father passed away before I landed my current job. Mom isn't happy that I'm not using my five years of college education to her expectations. She was happier when I was a letter carrier!

My parents love my job. It's only preliminary until I get my grad degree, but its a much larger step then most people I know.

They are proud of me. They know that I have worked my ass off to get where I am today. They are both retired now, so they love it when I do "shop talk" with them. They both were successful in their careers so they are great sounding boards if I want to get their opinion on something or when I talk to them about issues I'm dealing with. I have a tremendous amount of respect for both of them and really treasure their advice.

I am in the process of finding a new job, and my mother disapproves of almost every single one of the options I've found, but some people are impossible to please.

Right now I work as a Manager at a store. It wasn't my first choice, but it pays the bills. I also am a writer, but it is more of a personal hobby as of yet. Poetry tends not to sell as well as stories.

My mom says that she is happy for me and think I am doing a great job with my grocery store. She also constantly reminds me that there is no security in owning your own business. Who knows what she really thinks.

My dad thinks it's too much travel and the place I go are too dangerous. Funny, he didn't complain when I was in Viet Nam.
