My dad gave me coffee when I was very young, and I gagged on it. When I started school, I decided to try it because we have a coffee machine in our dining hall. I loved it, for some reason, and now I drink a pot a day.

When I finally tried it black, I liked it. Everybody kept offering it to me with loads of sugar and cream in it. Yuck!

Nah. Took a while and it was the candy that I liked that got me to try coffee in different ways. Now I am very specific about it.

I started with it before I turned 10. My folks would put lots of cream and sugar in it and I loved it. My friends in college wondered why I didn't drink straight cream and sugar because I put so much in. I then learned to drink it black and now love it.

For whatever reason, I loved the taste of coffee ice cream as a child. I started drinking coffee as a young adult and still love it many years later.

Was drinking it at the age of 5, even before I went in the military I had to add sugar & cream to it on the ships since "Mid Watch" coffee was strong since it iwas brewed at 8:00 pm and left on until midnight. At home I take it black.

Did not like coffee at all until a friend handed me a cup with sugar and just the right amount of coffee mate. Been hooked ever since. Spiced Chai Tea with milk however is a tie.

Truth. My Mama would make us 'cream and sugar coffee' when I was in grade school. It would perk us up in the morning, especially on a cold winter day. We also had 'cocoa and coffee' (mocha coffee, lol) I guess I just progressed to liking coffee from there. I prefer my coffee black, now, but I certainly still like it.

ive never heard of someone having to learn to like coffee??? why would you want to do that lol, if u dont like it u just dont drink it?! me on the other hand, am addddddicted.

Couldn't stand it when I was growing up, then I realized why...my mother always put creme and sugar in it. Ruined a good thing when she did that.

About 15 or 16, I started drinking coffee while staying up to work on high school homework. I took to it automatically. I stopped drinking coffee a few years ago because it started to bother me. Instead I took to tea.

I liked it from an early age. I remember asking for it as a child, but my mother didn't want to let me drink it. She would put too much milk and sugar in it for me.

I really liked coffee ice cream as a kid, coffee was easy after that.

I used to put cream and sugar in my coffee to get rid of the bitter taste, but I eventually switched to black when I got used to it. I never put anything in my coffee again.

I never drank coffee growing up and even in college but I did take NO Doze to help study~~it did not work for me and even in the military~~ except to sober up quick? I was probaby middle age when I worked in a facotry and starting drinking coffee~~ I still only drink one or two cups in the A.m.

I had my first cup when I was about 13 yrs old. My Grandmother made it for me and I thought it was great. LOL No one makes a cup of coffe like my Grandmother did.

I've never learned to like coffee. I don't drink it at all.

I started with white ersatz coffee. Next was regular coffee with cream. Now I drink black coffee and I can't live without it ;p I liked first two automatically but I had to learn to like black one.

I hated it at first when I tried it with milk. First time I tried black coffee I loved it.
